    Money Manager with DBFX

So you want to use their well established name to lure fresh newbies in? Im afraid they are in this business themselfs already. This seems to be the latest fashion in town. DB(FXCM), Citi(Saxo), UBS(Oanda), ABN Amro(Oanda), RBS(CMC Markets) and so on. Saxo and Citi didnt merge (heh), Citi...

    High frequency scalping

Or trade Spot through IB, which is cheap too, supported through Neoticker and has more flexibility in position sizing. I wouldnt really rely on eSignal for a high frequency system. Last NFP it was up to 15 seconds behind MB Trading quotes. Its ok for non fast markets tho. I think you would...

    Unregulated vs Regulated brokers

Does anyone even know a FX firm with reputation that is not regulated? I pesonally have a hard time thinking more than a few of firms with reputation under any premise.. (retail anyways).

this is why the futures are dead --READ

I guess you mean the Usd LIBOR rates. They move a lot and are generally all over the place ever since the housing/liquidity mess started. Compare the controled hiking and flat environment to the last 5 months on the attached chart. You can see the more recent rate cuts broadly reflected, in a...

HELP!! Is there a alternitive to No-Signal? (e-signal)

If it really has to do with the eSignal charting app being too slow while the data-manager delivering ticks on time, like a poster above implies, one way to test this is to compare the eSignal charting to Neoticker. Neoticker has a 1 month free demo and native eSignal support, and it is designed...

    EuroLibor vs. Eurolibor2 ?

Not really futures related, but people in here might know anyways: eSignal publishes daily Libor-rate fixings from the British Bankers Association. There is an EuroLibor and an EuroLibor2 symbol, which slightly differs from the 'normal' Libor. On the BBA-website, i can only find one EuroLibor...

HELP!! Is there a alternitive to No-Signal? (e-signal)

I have also no noticeable lag. Altho i only use eSignal for fx (hotspot and tdfx contributors). eSignal is maybe a split-second slower than the quotes from orderentry. I have heard that eSig sucks for stocks from various traders now, but IMHO for fx its ok.

HELP!! Is there a alternitive to No-Signal? (e-signal)

You could give Tenfore a shot. They have a 1 month demo available. Pricing is a bit higher (altho not much) than eSignal, IIRC. They are a bitch to deal with tho, it took me like a month to arrange a demo account.

    CQG and data

Last time i checked CQG was $600 base fee, and then you start to add data and addons. So its more like $800-$1000 or more, depending on what you want.

    Scalping Forex

It may be the biggest market, but its a bit decieving. From the 3 trillion turnover figure that you can often read about, 2 thirds are transacted in swaps, a good portion from the other third is interbank trading (as in interdealer, 'real' interbank), then a bit of forwards, options, futures...

    Scalping Forex

I dont understand why you are disappointed. Now that the vola is back, IMO its really great for shortterm traders. The majors do >100 pips range a day on a regular basis(and often much more), spread is 1 most of the time, transaction costs < 0.5 pips for the roundtrip. There is plenty of...

    Onix FIXForge

On paper it looks pretty good. They offer a FIX middleware piece that provides connectivity to various destinations, and handle all the tendious stuff, like supporting and maintaining the interface and getting it certified. Its available for.NET, Java and C++. Destinations include CME, ICE, TT...

dropping IB like a bad habit.....so lets consider the alternatives

Hi, here is a forum where users can discuss issues the MB ceo (Ross) directly: http://siliconinvestor.advfn.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=19037 Most issues seem to be related to their quote servers acting up (they do offer real tick data tho) and Pension screwing account balances and...

    Charting software

You are confusing things here. Neoticker is software for charting (amongst many other things), but you will need a realtime data-service like eSignal, Realtick, Tenfore or simmilar firms to feed it data and chart-history. There is a list on compatible data-vendors and brokers on their website...

$52k gone from my IB account. What next, sue IB?

I agree with GTS. Its really easy to be a smartass in hindsight. Its unreasonable to assume the client can find out in realtime what is going on and come to the right conclusion right away when the platform shows erratic behaviour. When there are "phantom orders", one could assume that there are...
