I recognize a trend when the market gaps (like today) and then does not close in the first hour to hour and a half or so. Not absolute, but works on many occassions.

Okay, maybe I was a bit hard on you. I have the same philosophy about fibs that you do, although I no longer trade them. Furthermore, why didn't you tell me Ed Moore's stuff wasn't worth the $2,500 before I purchased it a couple of years ago? :D

Fib clusters or commonalities work - where you combine a .382 and a .618 retracement within a point of each other on the ES. But the subjectivity comes in. Where to buy? In front of the fibs or in back, etc. The Gann stuff is just the Square of Nine interpreted in a slightly different...

No doubt. I tried to shut people up by posting 5 to 6 real time trades - all fib trades - and they all worked out in my favor - but it didn't shut anyone up. Will Wally post a trade - I am betting negatory!!! By the way, maybe it is because I don't look at the fibs anymore, but a .618 off...

Smooth trend day? Are you watching the same as the rest of us? The 20th, 21st and the 27th might have been smooth trend days, but not today. By the way, absolutely killed it today! :D
