What's the Purpose of a Forum?

I had the same conclusion. At least the board is active. I agree but I'm only working with two: Iron Condors, Double Calendars. That shouldn’t be too bad should it? I think that being able to compare and contrast them in practice may be helpful. I’ll keep that in mind and try to reduce the...

What's the Purpose of a Forum?

The course just uses the P/L Graph and current values of Delta, Theta and Gamma to manage the portfolio. It never discusses the Theta 'Graph'. Just that we want positive Theta and the more the better. However now that I'm looking the graph, it appears that my Theta is drastically limited at some...

What's the Purpose of a Forum?

I did what I did because that is what the course I purchased did. We started with index based ETFs because of liquidity and more consistent that a single stock. (I did a single stock LCC as an experiment.) I selected an entry price where the Delta was ~.25 and also looked at the EEM chart...

Is there any way to reverse engineer options data to find good stocks?

Couldn't the options show you weather the market was bullish or bearish on the stock? How could you see that from looking at the stock alone?

    alternative to iron condor??

For some reason I'm getting a loss of -900 in the middle. I must have different prices for some of the options. All of these would have to entered as single orders so getting completely filled may be an issue.

    Rookie Advice

I'm new to option trading as well. Everything you wrote appears correct to me. Now that I can use Think or Swim's probability of touching graph, it appears that the PoT $27.25 by April 16 is 28% and PoT by May 21 is 75%. The videos that I am using to learn option trading mentioned a strategy...

    Probability and April Put-Spreads

I say the probability would be lower in Situation A. But good in both cases. However, I'm about to start placing Put Spreads above the support. If you were going to set up a PCLN April Put Spread where would you set the Short strike? I continued to look at the othe PCLN April Put-Spreads...

    Newbie Question about covered calls.

I apologize if this subject has been already beat to death here. I see the argument that covered calls limit your upside. But if you are swing trading a stock you should place the strike price of your Covered Call at the current resistance level. If the stock makes a move up, that resistance...

    Probability and April Put-Spreads

    >" Where support is and what the 30 day EMA are have nothing to do with the probability of breaching a strike" But doesn't support and 30 day EMA help in determining where to set a strike?
