I guess I can answer that one. I dropped 6.6% of my entire trading account on that trade, which was over a third of my 2014 YTD gains. Results notwithstanding, I actually still think it was a +EV trade going in.

On second thought, rattled post-loss as I am, I'm just bidding here at limit up (111.675) to make sure I get out today. Assuming we get over 1,000 more contracts traded by day's end (a near certainty), that's the official end of this miserable trade. My condolences to anyone who followed me...

After taking such a brutal loss on a trade I originally had high confidence for, my confidence is (temporarily) shaken. Maybe this PED virus thing is far worse than us industry outsiders have imagined? I don't exactly have a bunch of hog farmers in my contacts list. Regardless, I'm thinking...

The CME website says there's no daily price limit on hogs. Reduce size here at 111.30. My first loss of this thread was bound to happen eventually. Even Michael Jordan lost the occasional game here and there...

Keeping in mind that I scale out in MANY little pieces, I actually had slightly below 107 in mind as my very first exit point- but not more than 15% of the entire position. The 105.5 area is significant though- That's where I plan to scale out of most of it... if I can.

I'll have to respectfully decline to go into all that. The way this profession works, edges rapidly disappear as more traders learn about them. I've seen it happen too many times in the past.

I must have missed that post as well, but I've never known Nitro to lie to other people (he only lies to himself), so my question is: Did anyone here see Nitro closing out his old short positions? Anyone at all?
