Damn, that spike just tagged my trailing stop, out at 1518.75. Thought it was out of the noise, but guess not. (On the telephone, not paying attention.) +1 and +2 on this trade.

I'm long from 1516.75. Took a piece off at 1517.75 but letting the rest ride, target low 20s.

Charts for KBH, HOV and TOL sure look like a Wyckoff spring. TOL looks like it has completed its "jump across the river" but KBH and HOV have not. CFC looks different than the other three, not so clear whether it's turning. <img...

Long from 1515.25, 1 point stop. First target 1517.50. Scalp trade. EDIT: Well that was a bad idea. Stopped out for -1. Gonna leave it alone for awhile.

Stopped out at BE on remaining half. Now flat. EDIT: Downside bias since 8am. I'll probably focus on short scalps on price pops UFN.

Wholesale inventories due to be released now.

Until proven otherwise, my assumption between now and FOMC is that we're in a narrow 5-point trading range from about 18 to 23, and that scalping is the modus operandi until the announcement. Long just after the open at 1518.50. Out half at 1519.75 for +1.75. Sell order for other half at...

Sorry for late post...got a phone call. Short from 1517.50. Closed half at 1514.25 for +3.25. Letting other half run for possible 1507. Stop at BE, will be trailing it down. EDIT: Son of a B... Stopped out at BE. I really should have stayed in bed today. EDIT: This looks...

I'm stopped out, too, for -1. Poop. I should know better. Day before FOMC is a day to bunt and hit singles, not swing for the fence. (Or better yet, stay in bed.)

Long from 1517.75, 1-point stop. Looking for a stop run up to 24-25. If it happens, then we short the hell out of this puppy.

Of course, if you really want to appreciate CNBC, try Fox Business Channel for about five minutes. I must admit, however, that both channels have some pretty damn foxy women doing the talking head bit. They're even more attractive with MUTE activated.

This short was supposed to be working better. Dammit, bulls, what part of "capitulation" don't you understand? :) :) :) EDIT: Stopped out for +.25. What a waste of time. :(

I believe if you look closely, you'll find that your remote control has an OFF button. Also a MUTE button. Both work wonders with CNBC.:)

Happy to oblige, sir. I really didn't want to do this one all alone.

Short from 1518.50. Nervously. Was hoping for closer to 1525 but doesn't look like it's going to happen. Close stop on this one just in case it does. EDIT: PT1 1514.25 (+4.25) PT2 1507.25 (+11.25) 3-tick stop on this entry, so R:R is very good.

1525 would be the ultimate sell, but I'm not sure we're going to get there today. Kinda looks like we are running out of steam.

Didn't happen. We sliced through the 1515.25 level like a hot knife through butter. Now not interested in shorts until we get above 1520. I'm going to take a break and make myself some breakfast. (It's 7:15 on the left coast.)

Adding to short here at 1510.75 after 61.8% retracement. Hopefully lower from here. EDIT: Wrong. Stopped out for -1 on add-on and BE on original runner. Too bad. :( Net gain on trade was +2.75. Not what I hoped for. EDIT: Watching for selling to come in at 1515 (earlier swing high) for...
