Fletch Just keep doing what your doing. You have a good head on your shoulders and you are thinking in probablities. Listen to no one but your equity curve. It speaks the truth :) Sometimes you have think outside the box.

Thats funny. My psychologist told me that trading was gambling. He then recomended Bob Brinkers market timer to me and said the long term is not gambling. That was my last visit :)

Sure sounds to me like you know what you are doing :) Monitor your real time P & L's in excel. Then create a chart to monitor the equity curve. If the drawdown exceeds (percentage wise) what your hypothetical testing has shown then I would start to worry. This works for me. Good luck

You also may want to start out testing swing/intermediate trading systems and then once done successfully you can move on to intraday. The best mechanical intraday mechanical systems IMO are the ones that identify direction and hold the position through the close. These also tend to mimmick...

No problem :) Im not much of a scalper but from what I have read in the TS forums it can be quite a nightmare. It works for well for my trading style though. An alternative would be to create from C+++ or other programming languages if you have the knowledge. If not then there are vendors...

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME TS is good for intermediate trading and backtesting. I would look elsewhere for scalping
