4xprop, I'm sure you're aware of the $2m fine imposed by the NFA on FXCM just last week. I hope this hastens up your search for other, better, brokers to partner with for prop trading.

I, for one, am awaiting the announcement of alternative brokers we could trade with to qualify as remote traders for 4xprop. Have you given a thought to working with GoMarkets? I currently use them and I could say I am quite satisfied with the tight spreads and high leverage they provide.

That's not a problem for me (they'd give me capital so I won't be risking my own, which is a fair enough deal IMO). Btw, can anyone tell me why high frequency trading (HFT) is in vogue at most trading firms? It's not enough to day-trade; you have to make lots of trades!

Yes, but you have to participate in an evaluation program for 8-10 weeks where you open a live account with FXCM. The things that give me pause are that they want "active traders" (aka scalpers) and that FXCM is their broker of choice.

Anyone here who has traded for Pulsar and can share their experience with the firm? What do you guys think about the 4 or more Sharpe ratio requirement to qualify? Do you feel, as some do, that it's too high a barrier to surmount (and a way for Pulsar to keep the 300 GBP refundable fee)...
