Here's a preview of my new trading station. It's still a work in progress. It would have been done, except I decided to standardize on Dell LCD's. I had the Samsungs on hand, but didn't open them and returned them because I wanted Dell LCD's. The middle one you see is a Dell 30". The side panels...

I've found 22" LCD is close enough to 24" LCD for half the price.

24" = 1920x1080 30" = 2560x1600 but I keep my 30" at 1920x1080 so that everything looks bigger. I find that the 30" at full 2560x1600 is too hard on the eyes. I have to squint and after a while my eyes get tired. at the bigger resolution my eyes are so comfortable.

Thanks, by chance do you know the size or is it a standard size for monitors?

Anyone know the name of the screwdriver I need to take off the monitor stand on the dell 30"? they look funny.

I bought them mostly from searching on Froogle.com for the ergotron part numbers. StockzTrader was the one who put it together first and figured out which parts are needed. Big hat off to him for giving us the blueprint...

The 30" rocks. I got it on Friday, and the thing is amazing. I played around with the settings, and dialed it in. It's pretty comfortable on the eyes. I've also cranked up the font size since I have it on 1920x1080. My previous was a 19", so it's a big jump. I also got Nvidia's 7600GS. I played...

lol, that would be pretty sweet. Originally, I was looking to get a 47" LCD and plug up my computer to it for trading. I may still do that if I really want to go big. the problem was to get more screen real estate since the 1080p big screens top out at 1920x1080. you could fit smaller monitors...

oh... my... goodness... I just plugged in the dell 30" LCD, and I'm speechless. I'm seldom impressed by technology. but with this one, I'm blown away. amazingly crisp out of the box. drool...

Sweet, I got all the monitors today. nothing quite like seeing 8 LCD boxes together. (I ordered 2 different models, and they didn't cancel the order on time, so have to send 2 back.)

StockzTrader, did you have problem finding this part? 2 97-195-200 Short crossbar seems nobody has this on the web. which is kind of odd.
