How would you play todays events tomorrow morning?

I still don't understand how the Chinese internal credit tightening effects the US stock market. The Chinese don't buy much from the US. On the other hand, I can understand foreign mineral ADRs going lower. If I were to pre-guess tomorrows trend, it's probably going to be a higher close than the...

Third and final interview at Swifttrade...any advice?

A profitable Swift trader is as good as or even better than any professional trader. You have to be really good to make $7K a day with only a 2 cents maximum loss tolerance per trade. Swift traders don't have licenses because they don't need them. There's a reason that Beck won't allow any...

    Trading difficulties in the afternoon

I didn't know Swift allows trainees do momentum trading or even use charting. I guess their rebate game and trading low volatility stocks for a penny isn't working anymore with the ECN mergers. Momentum works during the open and close when the players are taking positions. During the slow...

Third and final interview at Swifttrade...any advice?

It depends on the trading strategy you use. If you're comfortable with rebate trading, then staying with swift is the only way to make money with that strategy. I know millenium traders making average 7K a day who will never leave swift because they need the low transaction costs and the...

Third and final interview at Swifttrade...any advice?

They're the same as Swift, only in FX. Pay is all commisions based. I think Swift is a very good place to learn to trade. If you spend 3 months there you'll learn more about how the markets work than trading by yourself in 3 years.

Third and final interview at Swifttrade...any advice?

For a BM, it's all a numbers game. Each banch needs to churn through 100 trainees to get 1 decent trader. As long as you are aware of the basics of risk control, you'll get in. Some branches now charge for training so you might want to inquire about that. Try and make as many trades as...

    Swift Trade secret to success?

Swift is a great place to learn the mechanics of trading and then move elsewhere. The more profitable branches have a smoothed average of 15K a day total gross mostly on the backs of a handful of traders, 90% of the traders in any swift location don't make much. Out of that Beck gets a 30% cut...
