Yeah I think you are right about that. Too bad I didn't see this rally 2 weeks ago. Now I feel like I have missed boat and its too late to jump on board.

I wonder where all this buying interest is coming from. I mean, it was only last month that people were talking about gloom and doom with demand destruction on the horizon.

Yeah I never understand the pre-open trading activity, as its seems really random, but I suspect its mostly driven by arbitrage with Brent Crude market during pre-open hours. I want to go short again today, but keep getting cold feed. OIL is so strong these days.

good work man! Yeah I agree, oil is way over-bought but shorting seems so difficult these days. This thing goes up $2 in a few min but will take a few hours to go down .50

I might consider selling tomorrow as well depending on how it behaves in pre-open trading.

I think the Chinese are finally starting to sell their US bonds. Even though the FEDs announced last week that they'll start buying treasuries, it didn't trigger a bull run in Bonds. Instead we got a big spike on Wed and its been going down every day since. It still hasn't reached Wed's low yet...

:D yeah man. wow, i just woke up and saw that my position had closed out with $500 profit :) very lucky though, cuz it looks like I had exited near the exact bottom and the market had spike right after that. Just goes to show that this market is just too strong and shorting is just a bad...

Yeah its free to open an account, but then you'll need to subscribe to data for each market. I get the North American Futures/Options bundle (which includes NYMEX) for free because I generate more than $30 commission per month. Otherwise it would be $10 per month.

You know what? I just came to the realization that oil has been in one of its greatest bull market in a long time and we've been wasting our time and money shorting it in the past month. The problem is that every time I wanted to go long, it looked so ever-extended on the upside so I went...

I am not sure. I only use IB and don't use external data provider, so not sure about price/availability. But I am sure if you Google around you might find a free source.

covered short @ 52.625 with $200 profit. Don't feel like holding oil shorts anymore. It just doesn't go down as fast as it goes up

52.40 must be a strong support, i am seeing lots of bids at that level on IB's market depth.
