got out with +40 ticks I still think we have a short-term bottom since we broke out of the down trend with an inverted head and shoulder, but the 50sma wouldn't hold which is not a good sign.

I didn’t trade the CL today. I had several bad trades in EUR and decided to call it a day. Looks like crude has broken out of the short-term down trend and closed above the 50 sma. I am planning on day trading this on the long side for the next couple days.

I trade everything in my position account, but for day trading, I tend to stick to currencies (EUR, JPY) and bond futures (ZB, ZN). I'll be trading crude this month though. I am about to hit the bed now, but will trade in the morning. (I am on the west coast USA) Laters!
