This may sound silly but a lot of life experience and a ton of time playing poker or tcg games can actually give you an edge in trading. There are actually firms that hire people who are good at poker but with no prior trading experience.

It's just that the watchlists can be done better. I am a daytrader so a delay of 1 minute to able to see my symbols on the watchlists is a biggie. Nonetheless, their software is ok otherwise. Charts can be done better as well but I know that isn't their selling point.

I think it's accurate people who just jump in the stock market for the 1st time will lose their pants. That is why I've been paper trading for a while and yes I was one of those people who jumped in not knowing a thing of how the stock market worked.

VB stands for virtual brokers. And they're a Canadian broker. I haven't actually opened an account with them yet, I just have their demo account so I refer them as my broker anyways.

I got a quick question... Gasl went up 800% the other day due to a split. What would happen to investors who had short shares? Would they suddenly see losses of over 800%? So $10000 that's 80k or would it see no difference.

Do they've intraday chart pattern scans or should I just stick with TC2000? I am using the demo version so I can't be sure if they have it or not. Can someone confirm this? I really like their clean interface but as a technical momentum daytrader I can't live without it.

They're not gonna look into every individual trade you've done so you just calculate your total profit by the end of each quarter. In Canada, (where I am from.) you only have to report yearly.
