Not true. My firm's feeds do not go through Sterling. And they are better than Sterlings compared to friends who connect directly to Sterling. It's definitely a firm by firm issue. If your firm connects to Sterling, there seems to be some feed issues from what I hear.

The best feature of pro that I haven't seen mentioned is that a pro machine will host remote desktop. Log in from anywhere and control your machine at home. I use it to run some fully auto trading programs when I am on the road.

I agree Mike, I'm giving some serious thought shutting it down or at least scaling it back. I'm starting to think there are better uses for my time during the open. This strategy just isn't what it used to be.

Have to disagree with you there. For all of IB's faults (and there are some), my most intensive automated executions get executed at IB. I'm curious to hear who you think is more stable?

Haven't been able to log in for hours without using a new directory as mentioned above. Yet IB doesn't call this an outage? Give me a break. If you're still logged into TWS I'd recommend not logging out if at all possible.

Isn't a stock that opens DOWN on an big up open even weaker than one that opens a slightly higher than it's previous close? By your thinking shouldn't you eliminate your buy orders completely?
