Can anyone explain what GetQueueCount is and what I would use it for? I assume it's a look at how my many quotes are backed up, but what would I do with this info besides knowing for sure that I'm getting quote lag?

I use VB.net 2003 and yes, now that you mention it, it does seem like quotes bottleneck on me, though I haven't quantified it. Why do you attribute the bottleneck to the .Net languages rather than the Sterling API itself?

From what I've seen, the 30 message limit seems to only be what comes out of the API. You can send WAY more orders than that into it. I had some numbers wrong but the correct numbers support me even more. This morning, the 6400 erroneous orders took me 24 seconds to send, about 3 or 4...

Yep, looks like I had it wrong. Sorry about that.

I don't see why the exchange would matter in my case. I want to mass cancel 1800 orders. I don't care how long it takes for NYSE to confirm, I just want Sterling to send cancels on all of them immediately. To be clear it wasn't the confirms that took 3 minutes. Rather, after 3 minutes there were...

This format choice applies only to order events. It does not apply to quote events. There is only one format for quote events.

I've got a question for you guys. Any suggestions on the fastest way to cancel a large number of orders, say in a panic situation? Manual or API would be fine. This morning I tried to manually cancel some bad OPG orders by filtering the bad orders in my order window, selecting all and hitting...

I don't run more than one bot/account for that reason as well.

Then why offer the lower performing option at all? That's the mystery of this whole thing.

Toggling the structs format affects order events only.

    Reg T VS Portfolio Margin

I've not had a situation where my buying power is less than I would have had with Reg T. It's hard to be more specific than that. I'd say try and see. Not really that much risk IMO.

Introducing Cornerstone MTO (Member Trader Organization)

So here's where I see a disconnect. Your biggest competitive advantage is that your are a member of CBOE so your traders don't need a Series 7. Yet you are trying to get experienced profitable traders. But most of those guys already have their Series 7 and are at firms that are quite...

Does the $1000/month fee apply to remote traders? If it does, this is a show stopper. Many of your competitors offer comparable rates without the fee.

    Reg T VS Portfolio Margin

I generally seem to get about 5-6 to 1, but it really depends on what you have on and your ratio of long/short. You can always switch back if you don't like it.

Try the "What If PM" button in your account window when you have some typcial positions on and see what effect it has.

Horrible experience:IB cost me $50,000 this morning

Looking at the fine print below the command (March version) they mention the order will be hidden on ECN's if Display isn't used. So perhaps it does indeed work now. Better late than never I guess.

Horrible experience:IB cost me $50,000 this morning

Actually that function has been around for a while. But I was told by Sterling support that it does not work for ECN's and I verified this. Perhaps it works now, but I haven't tried it in quite some time.

    Why not use TD Ameritrade?

I don't get it. How does this affect AMTD customers? TD Bank is a large institution. AMTD is a retail brokerage partially owned by TD.
