    i'm noob got an idea

You say you have a background in " risk vs reward", yet you have no understanding of risk. You idea will work until it doesnt. that could be your first trade or your 50th. If you dont go into a trade without a more or less predetermined exit point there will come a time when you'll loose...

Would you like to know what I am NOT investing in today?

Apprently helium 3 on the moon is really valuable and mineable. Also asteroids are theoretically mine-able too. Other than that wheres the profit opportunity in space besides being a transporter running off govt contracts. But those contract values are relatively known well in advance in the...

Maximum lot size to get filled without slippage ?

Wouldnt be suprised sometimes there is a huge illusion of liquidity sometimes. You gotta remember a rather significant portion of the size you see at the bid and ask are market making type algos and they will react at the slightest change in orders on the book. you put a 10 lot and immediately...

Maximum lot size to get filled without slippage ?

To get an idea look at the time and sales and check for big orders on a single print. Take and average of the larger lot sizes you see and theres your answer more or less. Keep in mind you will see large sizes go thru but you can spot those as large resting limit orders. Keep in mind liquity...

CNBC on a tablet is way behind normal broadcast

Wouldnt be suprised if they are purposely delaying their feed much in the same way some economic numbers are sold off to paying subscribers before it's released to the masses. Kind of makes perfect sense since cnbc has the ability to move markets. Ps I'm joking but not really.

getting accepted from a bad prop firm (non profitable) to another one

Name the companies also where are you located? prop firms aren't apples to apples comparison. some I would trust handing them money, some I would not, some might be bucket shops and you are destined to fail. Some dont require money at all. Also you sound very new to the business. I have a...

There's literally a clear winner in the beverage war

Im no expert, but the whole reason for milks existence is to nurish a baby and get them to grow for the firet couple years. It's not supposed to be for adults (cows or humans ) to drink. A lot of people develop a lactose intolerance in adulthood for some reason. Disclaimer: I love milk and...

There's literally a clear winner in the beverage war

Same here, I recently got a sodastream and it makes even tap water taste delicious. No more plastic bottle to dispose of is a big plus too.

IB - CL market depth flashing/stuttering

He's right if you are sending limit orders and stop orders ( actual stop orders sent to cme) they will execute regardless of how shitty their datafeed is.

How are my orders getting jumped in the queue at a given Limit price?

Moral of the story is dont use smart orders as you can never really be sure what they are doing. Altho in this case I dont think they screwed you I just think you saw orders get filled at another exchange and IB aggregares all the time and sales of all the exchanges into 1 feed. You may have...

    Physical Gold Delivery/CME Group

Just thought of this... what if you sold a contract of some random futures, call it pork bellies or gold and a nuclear bomb goes off leaving you with no market to offload to. The buyers wants their pork bellies and gold but how does the exchange honor this? cash settlement? I agree with the...

    Autospreaders for stocks.

I still think even if you select non-guaranteed it will still only send the first limit order out as soon as the spread price is marketable. Marketable meaning you'll get filled right away similar to taking a market order.

    Autospreaders for stocks.

See where it says that once "the spread becomes marketable " it submits a limit order then a market order... pretty sure marketable means that only when the spread is at the spread price you want to buy at or lower does it submit the orders. this is not the same as submitting a limit order...

Do Autospreaders allow you to roll spreads faster?

That's correct in that it quotes and requotes a limit order first and then pays up with a market order ( however its adjustable in that you can pay up with a limit order that does not take market). thats generally how autospreaders work. As for your bypass... yes you can quotes both legs...

    Autospreaders for stocks.

Budget isnt very high because I am going to experiment with this and thus not sure if I have a real edge here. I am predominantly a futures trader and just want to apply some of my strategies to stocks. Id say a few hundred a month is whatd id spend on a piece of software to start out.

    Autospreaders for stocks.

Thanks Robert, do you know if realtick hooks up to interactive brokers? Right now id rather use IB unless i have no choice but to get another stock broker.
