    Fade a trade or not.

I don't think there are definite answers. Perhaps something to think about might be money management and position sizing (hint: trade more than 1 contract). Also the psychological factors such as how you feel about buying highs and selling lows need to be addressed.

WallStreet - Money Never Sleeps - comments

I saw the movie a few days ago. I liked it, but not a patch on the first. I'm a big fan of Douglas, i first recall seeing him in "Streets of San Francisco" when I was probably 5 years old. Sad to see him old and wrinkled, tbh, even sadder to hear he may die from cancer. Shia looks like a...

    Estonia adopts the Euro

Doesn't make a difference as to how long they were planning it, recent events should have served as a warning to stay out. They were basically lucky they stayed out for so long so they could witness events, yet they foolishly decided to plough ahead anyway. Only caveat is of course if they...

    Estonia adopts the Euro

Might be a good decision if they already think they will need a bailout. Otherwise, pretty dumb, it just raises prices for goods and services immediately, they lose control of monetary policy and they have to contribute to bailout Ireland et al. Their women are quite hot, so I may forgive...

Just a kid looking for advice

But proptrader, surely with his $15k, he can trade stocks, ETFs, maybe some mini future contracts, options....??? I think he could learn a lot in say, one month. Say he spends 10 hours a day, 7 days a week at it, reading books, looking at charts, doing simulations, that can be a lot of...

Just a kid looking for advice

Disagree with some (much?) of the advice here. There's only one real way of learning to trade and that is to trade. Read the books mentioned, buy Amibroker (or whatever), buy data, do simulations, look at charts, talk to people. Find something that works, study money management, understand...

Doubling Your Monetary Base and Surviving: Some International Experience

My own view is that the Fed is not only unwilling to unwind, but is committed to more and more QE. There will be no end to it! If that's the case, then the US will almost certainly experience hyperinflation.

Doubling Your Monetary Base and Surviving: Some International Experience

Interesting paper: http://research.stlouisfed.org/publications/review/10/11/Anderson.pdf CONCLUSION During the past two decades, large increases— and decreases—in central bank balance sheets have become a viable monetary policy tool. His - torically, doubling or tripling a...
