    italian bond futures

BTP no longer exists as a futures contract, due to the fact that the Lira no longer exists as a currency. All EMU currency bonds are hedged using the the Bund, Bobl and Schatz contracts on Eurex. Chris

    Refco Trading Services (Formerly Macfutures)

I am a trader with Refco in the UK. This is the third arcade i have traded with in the last 5 yrs as a local, prior to that i was with ML for 6 years. I have been with Refco for about a year in one of the satelite offices outside London and can tell you the professionalism of the company...

Is there really anyone who prefers a half tick shaz?

Very much so. Looking at entirely different things now. No longer queue for anything, always seem to be giving away ticks to get stuff on and then giving away again to get out. But at least there is no one group bigger than the market over there. If bonds go bid on 2000, then you have a...

Is there really anyone who prefers a half tick shaz?

Spooky that the german word Schatz means 'darling' in English. Couldn't possibly be further from the truth. In 2003 i traded close to 2 million round turns on Eurex, now they get no more than 500 lots a day off me. I do must of my business on CBOT and CME now. I am reluctant to put my...

Is there really anyone who prefers a half tick shaz?

scalpers did not call for the move, i personally was in a meeting with the relevant heads at Eurex about Flipper and we told them that locals were very opposed to the half tick. They did that to please the banks.

    Bund spike at 15.11 local

June 123 calls are trading 1. They expire in 2 weeks time. Why 123.69?? Did you just pull a number out of thin air? Target on the 5th Elliot Wave was 121.59, i would excuse the tick and say target achieved, fully expect some consolidation over next couple of days back to mid 120's. Chris

Basically, quoted as 100 minus the implied interest from the Fed at any given point in the future. IE Sep 2005. Hi, Been reading this thread for while. I am a European trader working in an arcade. We have very recently switched over to more US products due to the manipulation of the...

    EurexUS, will it work?

The mad thing is the ad in the FT was proposing a cooperation between LIFFE and Eurex. Liffe's attitude was 'yeah right, we are the biggest here and we will stay that way.' How they must wish they could go back in time. Also, you may do well to remember that no exchange has every taken a...

    EurexUS, will it work?

Actually, as someone who was on the Liffe floor and who has traded Eurex/DTB for 8 years, let me tell you that Eurex had the Bund listed for about 5 years before it took the business from Liffe. They had the liquidity in the Bobl and Schatz but had repeated failed to steel the bund. It changed...
