Avoid "Technical Analysis for Dummies" by Barbara Rockefeller. Takes too long to come to the point and spents too much time on psychology of trading - that is a different topic. Doesn't even include ADX. Generally Dummies Books are good for intro I might add but this one is very very bad.

I should hold that meeting with myself everyday before open too. I daytrade so any position not closed has something wrong with it unless itsa late-day acquisition.
