    luckily it was only one contract. That's not the end of the world but an expensive nap. I don't even remember shutting my eyes. As per coffee, I drink gallons a day and the caffeine has minimal effect at this point.

    As of 1.5 years ago, you could buy South Carolina low country pine treed land for $1k. Timberland can be a good investment. Some government conservation groups will plant saplings for virtually nothing.

    the best play is to buy farmland in fast growing regions and wait for the suburban sprawl.... incredibly sophisticated strategy.

    Iowa farmland was around $1000/acre in the mid 80s. It was around $3500/acre three years ago. Crop production which can be done by someone else or timber more than covers the cost of taxes.
