you know what ? I was wrong. Johnny is a great guy. I should have accepted the language and clear expression of his opinions about others faster. I am sorry. after all, a few pages of insults and name calling in a thread of 60 pages is not much. I should have put that in perspective...

being insulting and insults are 2 different things. some language is not welcome in ET's policy. some forums are easy on it. and usually this one is too, until people complain to me. being insulting and obstruct threads won't usually get you a ban, we introduced long ago the 'ignore' function...

it's fair to say that. however I note that I asked people to calm down (and respect the site's policy) and simply deleted posts after that. again nothing against anyone. also I must say I also reacted after several readers asked me to kill the language.

I think the point with my suggestion is this : during trading you don't want to be bothered by $ P/L. you know if you are making money or not anyway. but execution does not need to know about $. when you receive your statements etc.. it's ok to see the $.. fear or evaluating strategy is...

consider the risk of ruin, or disaster stop (something happens outside the market, terrorism, major news or you lose connection and ability to exit). because even if you have stops in place and a major news event happens, your stop will blow and big time at that. that's the major loss you need...

the open book is just like the market depth feature. just select market depth, and the open book is exactly the same. it is a market depth you see when the line has a default exchange of NYSE. that's all. you can't type the symbol in the open book view.

autoexec is dangerous. but it is off by default. users should be smart enough to know how to use their software. however, I agree with the remark regarding open book ( or any market depth btw). there should be a setting to select to use cumulative or non cumulative size. first because...

Hi Guys, I need an update on everyone's experience with IB stops for eminis.. do they work well and fast ? what method is used if they are native stops ? (are they native or on IB servers ?) (last, double last, bid/ask etc..) please as many replies as possible. thanks..

the problem in credibility for riskless is this : I bet half of the traders here use IB. So beating on IB is like beating on them. It does not help to convince people to work with you. Not most at least. I read some of your customers are happy with you. That's good. but it is suspicious...

this was fixed long ago.. these issues are best addressed in IB forum, helpdesk or eventually ET chat room.

several brokers were affected by this. shit happens. several charting software were not affected. it is a good idea to have at least one for comparison. imho.
