    Matrox G450 with WIN XP?

    You can run 10 monitors with "XP" according to Matrox. I do not know if this is for the Pro edition only. I have just submitted this Q to Matrox tech support. Jay

    Matrox G450 with WIN XP?

    No problem running multiple monitors off a single card with XP home. As for running several cards, I never bothered to check this? I can't imagine that this wouldn't be possible when you can do this with much older systems (98, 2000, NT). Jay

    Matrox G450 with WIN XP?

    I know this is a popular card with this group. I was wondering if anyone here is running a G450 with Win XP home edition, and anaolg LCD's. I believe this card isn't DVI anyway. Also, is 32mb really needed to run two monitors in basic 256 color mode at 60hz? I was thinking the 16mb version could...

    RAM combos

    Canyonman, Thanks for replying to my original post. This, however, was posted two months ago and I've sorted everything out, and everything runs great. I never arbitrarily decided to run 1 gig, my documentation allowed for it. I actually run 768 and its plenty. Cheers, Jay

    Oil = War....??

    Anyone who thinks this war is for oil should educate themselves on the oil industry a little first. The only benefit the US could possibly get out of this, related to oil, is that if a future, free Iraq were to pull out of OPEC. Not likely. Assuming the US wins the war, and upgrades the oil...

    Can't Withdraw funds from IB today!

    I can't remember the name of the firm that does it, but there is a firm that ranks all brokers based on financial stability. As of last year, IB was ranked #1 in THE WORLD. Its based on reserves to customer funds or somethging like that. It was ranked ahead of ML, Goldy, everyone. Also...

    PATTERNS -- So These REALLY Work???

    I have a quote that I put on my trading sheet each day for reinforcement: "Repeated good entries ALWAYS wins". You will hear time and again that its the exits that count. Yes, they are important, but if you trade a retracement system, any realistic version, and have some discipline, you...

    PATTERNS -- So These REALLY Work???

    In my experience, FIB retracements are golden on large range days intra day. The pit boys are looking at this I think. I know many of the hedge funds do. Also valuable for major long term points. Medium term, weeks to a month, I think its a bit worthless. That said, any retracement system...

    IB: backfilling quotes

    I looked into this for Euro and Hong Kong data. If you are really serious, a few hundred per month should be doable (I can see Nitro laughing). FutureSource offers both markets, but grossly marks up exchange fees. Aspen Graphics, via S&P Comstock, does the same with marginal, if any...

    Impatience

    Yes and no. I started trading futures in 1987 just before the big hiccup. Big S&P, a minute delay on fills, ugly results. Also traded softs, metals, you name it. After my initial experience with blowing out an account, I did OK for a long time doing short position trades (not really sure what...
