so, it's looking like kerkorian will get his way :
-cut dividend
-reforms in the executive ranks
-etc etc etc
again, im a novice, but if they cut the divided, won't there be a good sell-off from funds that carry high-yield stocks?
time to short?
my predominant thought right now is that this large one-day retraction will cause others, the ones that have been in 20-30 points, to take profits. I think the trend is downward for the short-term.
there was some huge blocks that were sold off - the news article seems like more of an excuse to sell-off then anything else. and to be frank, there is nothing on the wires, and for a times article to cause a market maker to sell-off is really a stretch.
im pro aapl, but lately the stock has...
i really enjoyed some of the material you had - definately some perspectives i have not considered.
how do you think the trend would react to the release of positive news from aapl?(new products, etc)
2- million shares dumped under 5 min today - thoughts on what it was?
shrot seller?
fund dumping the stock?
insider selling?
profit taking?
jobs getting some $$$$ to launch takeover of dis?(buy DIS on open market ala kerkorian and GM???)
it's so much fun when i can see a market...
i watch the natty gas complex.
i was long epex for a few weeks, then swung short on it and ngs.
something is just not right - we didn't see these prices when natty gas was at 15$. epex reports the beginning of march, might be a good oppurtunity to finally realize that short.
I have no position in it anymore - i was short earlier in the week.
my emotions are all i have left...... :(
heh, seriously though, major re-org needed at GM. EDS will announce the new MSA with GM tomorrow.....
heh.... heh.....heh....
Die.
Someone was buying blocks midday - could have been Kirk going over the 10% mark.
I'm emotional about this one - GM will not get my blessing until executive management is swept, either all at once or one-by-one.
Looks like the bears(and shorts) are getting ready to feast.
yeah - it's important to note it's a 400$ stock with an 85 p/e - overpriced but not by much at all.
if the p/e were, ohh, say 256,(*cough* CRM *cough*) then I think a major correction was in order.
<-- still a novice
one thing i've noticed is that block-trades will typically get executed intraday, between 11 and 2:30 est. watch the 1-minute chart of the large-cap that you're interested in and watch for significant minute-over-minute moves.
i saw kerkorian buying back his shares 2...
