    Wall street is scam

The markets aren’t rigged. I’m sure some portions of them are and occasionally there’s a big scandal but overall they’re not rigged. It’s too big of a system for a select few to hold absolute power over.

    TradersStudio Multicore PreReleased

Interesting breakdown of the CPU numbers. Hadn'€™t really looked at that before. I'€™ll keep that in mind if I purchase a new system. It'€™s tempting to go AMD for price, but maybe it'€™s worth going Intel.

Daytrading 2.1 for small traders (the complete method)

That computer technology looks really cool. I didn’t realize that there were so many price disparities and things in the market that could be found with Google style questions. It’s like the Ask Jeeves of finance…

That's very interesting. I thought AMD chips could be overclocked though as well? However, even if you could overclock them they still couldn'€™t match Intel'€™s performance with hyperthreading I suppose.

Apple 600 target or 480 price target ?

I see Apple only getting stronger. They have some weakness, sure, but they have such a strong market in the US that they can continue to churn a healthy profit. Plus they’re sitting on buckets and buckets of cash.

    TradersStudio Multicore PreReleased

That’s a really interesting article and I had no idea that a Xeon would be poor for trading performance. I would have figured that the server class of processors would be the best for computation.

    Facebook Crash

FB is not a good stock to trade, period. It’s trading way too high but that will continue based on sentiment. I mean its market cap right now is 75% of Chevron and 150% of American Express with a P/E ratio that’s over 5x both of those. FB is way, way too overpriced.

I hope to try out the new add-ins once they’re out of beta. Could you PM me and let me know when they’re available?

Man sues McDonalds for $1.5 million because he only got 1 napkin

Only in America it seems that people can do that. Over here in India, we don’t have suits like that…

    TradersStudio Multicore PreReleased

This is absolutely fantastic news. I’m just trying out the newest beta now. I have a question though, are the other add-ins on the site multi-core enabled or are they going to be ported over in the future? So far the beta seems to be a lot quicker on my computer, so I’m liking that.

    High frequency trading is over.

Wow… This type of stuff is incredible. It might be the answer to the bandwidth issues that the current telecom infrastructure is projected to experience over the next decade or so.

    Science

Just wanted to comment that this is a fantastic thread. Loving the science videos posted so far.

    Chicken a la cockroach

That’s absolutely ridiculous. How does a company allow that to happen? I would think that in the US it would take fewer than five findings of cockroaches to shut the plant down…

The Future Of Naval Aviation? So Long Maverick and Iceman

That seems absolutely insane to me. I’m nervous that all these drones will make people less casual about going to war since their own lives won’t be on the line though.

Limited whiskey sells for nearly $4,000 per bottle

I’d love to be able to try just a shot for $350, but alas that’s too much for me. It always amazes me what people are willing to pay for alcohol.

Amazon Experimenting With Drones That Will Deliver Packages In 30 Minutes

How could this even be profitable for Amazon to do? You would think the cost of repair and buying the drones alone would be way too much unless they charge a fortune for shipping. But hey if it works maybe I can get a drone 747 to deliver some packages from the States to here in India?

Ever wonder what it's like to have your house destroyed by a tornado?

Damn… I’m really glad I’ve never gone through that. Looks like a terrible thing to go through.

    Inside a Twitter Robot Factory

This is a good example of why I would never buy stock in Twitter. Way too many problems for a still unprofitable company.

Woman gets $3,500 fine and bad credit score for writing negative review

Absolutely absurd. To try and do that is definitely bad business and bad PR. The company’s probably failing and they’re just trying to extort a few thousand out of a random guy. And too isn’t this type of “agreement” invalid under the US’ first amendment clause? Freedom of speech...
