    Options on Commodities Floor Traders

Great book. I read it when I was still very, very new to the game. It was a practical read, versus the theory you get with the Natenburg and McMillan books, and thus offset those texts nicely. What's updated in the second edition?

    timothy sykes

Don't know his history, but after 5 minutes of looking at recent trades. June 17th - GWSC: never hit his 2.76 sell that I can tell. June 15th - SPNG: May have sold it in the pre-market or got it off one penny from the open and high of the RTH for his sell. And it looks like he bought it...

Thanks, day4night. ..and re-reading my post this morning I see it may not be clear I was asking "How tradeable are NG spreads at night?".

Deciding on a Backtesting and Trading Platform

..backtesting is <del>not</del> always not accurate... couldn't resist.. Seriously, a large part of it has to due with the operator and how he/she goes about performing the backtest (e.g.'s, in/out of sample data, optimizing). I believe Acrary had some good posts on this awhile back.

    RIMM Double Reverse Calendars

Good trade, bebpasco. You might get the Jul vol down more as the day goes on. Very educational. Thanks for the good thread.

I find this thread very interesting and thanks to all the contributors.. How tradeable are the Globex NG spreads after US RTH? I'm looking to learn (having my appetite whetted here), but I'm committed to other endeavors during the US day. Is ICE a better way to go? My thoughts are if the...

    thinkorswim acquired by ameritrade.

Well, I must now admit I reacted a bit hasty, mostly an emotional reaction to being blind-sided with the merger announcement. Funny how one gets attached to his trading platform, especially after spending so much time figuiring it out. I still have huge concerns over the future of tos'...

Exchanges closed , how much time was warning before closing down ?

The SPU's were down 20 handles all of a sudden (watching premarket - huge move back then). Didn't know why. A minute or two later looked up and saw what looked like a "smokestack" on CNBC. The markets never opened that day - they were closed when the 2nd plane hit. I believe Cantor Fitzgerald...

    thinkorswim acquired by ameritrade.

I've been a tos trader for over three years. The commish was a bit higher than IB, but the platform and customer service (you never need it till you NEED it) were top-notch and worth the difference. Congrats to Tom and Scott on the deal. I'm sure they made out extremely well on it. I'm also...
