I had a heck of a time with Zonealarm, deleting all of it was also nearly impossible. Switched to Sygate on both of my computers with no problems. My Laptop actually running Sygate Firewall together with Mcafee Firewall side by side and getting along just fine.

Thought it was just me. I don't see much difference between my new computer with 2.3 Gig and my old computer with 533 Megahz. So much for the replacement cycle. I know my buys have been additions and not replacement.

I can't take the brightness all day anyway. So for me half brightness is just fine. I keep my flat panels at just one notch above minimum and my CRT at minimum.

Has to do with refresh rates. More flicker at higher resolution I think.

Well if you have a CRT you can adjust resolution and still maintain the same quality. On a LCD if you change from the native resolution you will be losing quality. I like high resolution myself, at least 1280x1024 so I can fit more on one screen. Refresh rate will effect you on gaming or...

One of my buddies who knows more than me says Viewsonics are the best. I'm not sure about this but I like them. High brightness, colors, and very good clarity. In fact I have to keep mine at max darkness because it was so was too bright for being on long hours.

My new Laptop has XP, I had to re-boot it today because it started blinking and slowed a bit. That's only having it on from this morning at 9:00 AM. Had to do this a few times already and just got the machine. I don't know how you guys do it leaving it on always with no problem.
