What version of TWS are you on?

Esignal's constant volume charts are produced correctly. I was told that were correct a few years ago, then esignal changed them at some point (i.e., not to split ticks), and then they changed them back. Note volume in the bottom panel.

I would second that. I'm using TWS 870.2 and I tried Java 1.6.0_01. Stop orders placed in BookTrader did not trigger correctly (I was using a double bid/ask trigger). It happened twice, and then I switched back to 1.5.0_11.

I don't think there's any problem here. IB's feed is definitely not good enough for tick charts, but it won't affect your execution if you're making decisions off of your tick-by-tick feed (i.e., IQ).

On which product did you develop your system? Are you sure that it will function equally well on both?

I tested the May/July spread and the margin is $270 initial and $200 maintenance.
