Defining Moment: Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama

You guys act like Sept 11 never happened. How was the U.S. supposed to react to this event? Continue the Clinton Defense shrinkage to enable a smaller govt? That's how Clinton "reduced" the size of the U.S. govt., he shrunk military and intel. I'm not saying 9/11 was all Clinton's fault, but...

What is going on in Asian markets?

The problem with ANY forward PE ratio now is what really is the "E"? Today's "E" is moving down for most stocks even faster than their "P" last week. Yet we still look at the same "E" estimates from prior to last week in most cases. For now PE doesn't matter much. Big companies with $Cash...

Note: I'm new so consider points newbie opinion and questions of relevance rather than prediction rant. Please correct me if you believe I'm off base, I firmly believe this is a far better place than cnbc to learn about trading. Market does what it does. Seemed like the market was looking...

Do you look at a chart like today and ever say "man why didn't I make money?" I almost kept my bearish bias in check. But didn't. I knew the error, but thought "I have to make something today." Two problems, top guessing and I knew my stop point (hard and fast because of capital preserv) was...

    Margin Call - huh

You mean you wouldn't buy equities even if DJI dropped another 2,000 or 2,500 without a bailout? At that level most cash poor/credit desperate companies will either be gone or easily spotted because of their death groans. I know I would/will buy without a bailout, but not yet...

ES datafeed will be free as long as you spend 30.00 per month in commissions. I think it's 10.00 per month for the feed if you don't spend at least 30.00 in commissions. Very good data for basic trading of securities, futures, etc... Not real tick data though but I'll let others chime in...
