As usual it is very risky to interpret the news, after CNBC announced it was small plane crash the market started rallying retracing more than half the drop started at 11:55 or so . You would have thought it would keep going or retest with a higher low since this was obviously not a terrorist...

I think the way to make big money (millions) is longer term trading, swing trading for 3-15 days . But you need the right market conditions and the appropriate account size to do it.

I noticed this ird.com software previously dubbed "cheap RealTick" on this board (recall that the thread was quickly censored) is no longer cheap anymore :$150, used to be around $60. I guess when you find a way to get around greedy vendors keep it for yourself .

I have had an aggravating problem with TWS yesterday and today again, the applet seems to freeze for a few seconds I am not able to place an order, the mouse pointer shows as a double arrow and the hot keys no longer work. After playing around with the applet, resizing it, it gets back to normal...

Allright, TWS back online "customers may experience connection problems" I guess I am done for today with IB. I know one day I'll be stuck in ES and not able to get out. I'd better trade with the trend I guess.
