The Russell 2000 made a new high yesterday, and it is now down on the day. It has been the market leader---I am cautious up here. Anybody else have any thoughts?

Is anybody else having TradeStation slowness problems? The quotes is see on the order bar are way behind the chart activity.

hourly bars saved my ass. I never became consistent until I started using them. As T-Rex said, you MUST have a good idea of the prevailing direction, and hourly bars help with that. They keep you from trading too much, also.

am I the last one to have noticed that TradeStation has lowered the futures day trading margins? Only $1000 for SP, NAZ, and DOW. $1500 for Russell 2000. You must use a stop equal to 25% of the day trading margin.

Sorry---I did not mention that on my charts, I use symbol @ER2.D---this only gives me the trades during the regular market hours.

I don.t know how to post a chart here, but I can tell you that I use two charts. Both have hourly bars and Bollinger bands. One has exponential moving averages(7 and 26) and the other has 2 Jurik moving averages(6 and 10). If you just go with the cross of the 7 and 26, you will be a little...

I trade the Russell 2000 which does not have as much movement during the day as the SP and NAZ, so the longer term chart keeps me from getting chopped up. Once I figure out how to post my chart, I will be happy to do so.

How many of you out there use hourly bars as your primary chart? Of course for very short term trading you would need to use a much shorter time frame. For longer term day trades and overnite trades, I think they are great.

any emini russell 2000 traders out there? Lately (past year) it has been trending perfectly on the daily chart. It is a bit too messy to scalp during the day, but for those looking for smooth, long rides up and down, it looks great.
