With a small $4K account you have to forget about about % loss and be prepared to be wiped out - because $400 is 10% of $4k - very difficult to trade anything without risking that much - the way I figured it is that I have to lose $300/$400 almost 10 times in a row to wipe out. Can it happen...

My point is if you have $4k dont juts focus on ES - There plenty of other contracts like = Eurodollars, T-notes, 30 Day Fed Funds, mini silver, mini gold, grains (expect wheat), meats, currencies that you can trade with $4k - moving in and out 2 to 3 contracts

No - the $4k account was a sidekick account - i wanted to prove a point to some doubting Thomases that it can be done. I was not really taking any insane leverage - it very controlled

correction - that should read $4K and I was trading evrything T-notes, mini metals, meats, grains - basically all the contracts with margin less than $3k

I took a $4 account and ran it up to $16K in three weeks. It can be done but then thats after 5 years experince

So what next for the FED. The poor labour numbers makes a 75BP rate cut a sure fire thing, but stock index futures going south. Even a 0% rate will not save the day until the real problems are sorted out

The symbol #F in esgnal is the continous contract - you better check which month its charting - why not use ES H8 - i still do not understand why you are using cash charting data to trade futures when you can get futures data especially on ES?
