I figured out 10% of traders

And yet YOU are posting here during market hours. Thanks for clearing up which camp you are in! :D st

    Beginner Question

Thanks for the nod, but it is nothing more than sharing a tale of my having learned the hard way. Yes, a running journal is crucial for the reasons you described. Thanks for adding that. st

    Monday ES outlook

Yes, wait until Monday and then trade what is in front of your face, not concern yourself three days prior based on what some worthless canned indicator is supposedly 'telling' you. st

    Monday ES outlook

I second that. :) May as well use a crystal ball, it would be about as accurate. st

Another excellent response. And much pithier than mine! st

    Beginner Question

Price action is merely the relation of current price in relation to previous price, or modern day tape reading so to speak. You are using a chart to plot price in lieu of a tape. You are comparing the open and/or close of the current bar to where it is in relation to prior bars open and it's...

    Beginner Question

I'm seeing a lot of red flags in your reply, so in the premise you are not trolling and are in fact serious, allow me to make the following comments: 1. Trading is not supposed to be "exciting." If it's excitement you seek, go to Vegas. 2. You most certainly will not make money for a long...

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

That clears that up! Thanks for taking the time to post. st

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

Thanks for the follow up. To clarify, what you posted is the Ergodic, and I notice it uses the TSI within the formula. Therefore, what is the code for the TSI. IOW, if the Ergodic is a function of the TSI, what is the TSI? Or am I not understanding this correctly and they are one and the same? st

    Beginner Question

First and foremost, John Carter is a poser and a charlatan, so don't put a lot of faith in what he has to say. Second, he "borrowed" his so-called proprietary indicators from the Tradestation forums from those who wrote and shared them for free, and then re-badged them as his own. He sells them...

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

True Strength Index or TSI Ergodic (some misspelled as Ergotic) (Not to be confused with Ergodic candle which uses OHLC) Some time back I found conflicting information regarding whether the TSI and Ergodic are identical, although many people refer to both as one and the same. Some say...

after how long will you reoptimize the parameter

ROFLMAO @ this blowhard!!!!! No doubt, I have become ET's flypaper for the severely clue deficient psychotic windbags. As for you 'jerk'-off ass clown, if you would learn to spell and punctuate beyond the second grade level of special ed, someone might take you just a tiny bit seriously...

    Short-term trading with Oscar

Oscar is a con artist, pure and simple. I exposed that charlatan for the poser he is, and all I received was a bunch of whining from wanna-be newbies about how great that ass-clown was. Yet everything I have posted regarding his sham is coming to light right on cue. st

Markets are just plain boring right now.

Now you've done it!!! No doubt, you've just inspired another 300 page "trend doesn't exist" thread based on your comment! :D st

after how long will you reoptimize the parameter

Perhaps, but I have yet to hear or learn of any indicator based system that is profitable long term through all types of markets. Furthermore, automatic black/gray box type methods basically churn out very modest returns, sometimes just a few dollars per trade, usually have long periods of...

after how long will you reoptimize the parameter

Personally, I don't use indicators. I found them to be nothing more than a derivative of price, and therefore, always lagging. Using indicators rather than price itself to determine setups of entries and targets, in my humble opinion, is a losing proposition, and thus the reason so many traders...
