Oh yeah........Why does it show up in march? --Because the pay date for this dividend was 3/10/04. I guarantee you if you go to your FEB. 10th statement at IB, you'll see you were short LLY overnight that night. --Cheers, hope this helps!

LLY went EX_DIV on FEB. 11th. If you got a "payment in Lieu of div." for -35.50, that means you were short from FEB 10th to the 11th (or later) & you owe someone a div.. I'd guess you were short exactly 100 shares over the ex-div. I get these all the time-I've got the specifics down...

More downtime at MB in the last 4 trading hours than I've had at IB in 2 years...a real mess at MB right now

I asked a really good trader CPA this question. His answer: Take it, because it's free loss insurance. If you lose it, you can deduct it against other income or carryforward. If you don't you could be limited in what you can write off in a single year. I DID NOT elect MTM-against my CPA's...

I WAS CONNECTED TO 2 DIFFERENT SERVERS & BOTH WENT DOWN AT DIFFERENT TIMES.

Ageed, back up broker is a must. We got logged outta multiple IB accounts this morning...but they didn't drop at the same time- there are many different servers that drop many different users. NONETHELESS IB WAS DOWN.

BACK TO THE MYSTERIOUS LAST LOG IN TIME: --The time is always 22:50 or 22:53......hmmmmmmm thats when IB does its nightly update-like clockwork. I was worried about the last log in time too- for a while.....but it resets every night to that time, before the start of the next day. So no worries.

IB is having massive system problems this morning......today should take the cake for them
