Anyone short AXR?..looks like a great short

I see, thank you. I guess I'm just very impressed by the fact that this stock went out a lot, and it's still going down, for apparently no reason. And they declined any comment when the NYSE asked them an explanation.

Don and Mav, Part Deux! (Live Chat)

Mav, regarding what you said in the chat about shorting now. Considering the latest earnings reports, would you consider a long position? Thanks

Anyone short AXR?..looks like a great short

rich, this company: - has good p/e (well, now :)) - has good margins - is growing - has good returns - has been going up all the time - with so many shorts there is the possibility of a squeeze now, if you shorted you were obviously right. But now my question is: what made you think it...

    Stocks are random variables

I don't follow the P/L very closely, but I think that Steve posts every day. I remember I have found more times his consistency quite interesting. And I'm not the only one.

    Stocks are random variables

The point is that the likelihood of that happening is .003%. Now, without looking at people like Ed Seykota, just go to the P/L thread, and look at the consistency that some people have, most notably Steve Tvardek. What's the likelihood of that? Is it a statistical anomaly?

Question about learning to trade with ETF instead of futures.

Yes, that was Mav's point, I believe. Much more leverage with futures, so ETF's are good to start.

Don and Mav, Part Deux! (Live Chat)

done: http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/68163/chat-zip.html it's a zip file. With the mp3 I also put a text file with the messages people sent during the chat. It's not really important, but there a couple of questions Don answered, without talking. And it cost nothing. You are welcome :)...

    Knee strain

so do i. But sometimes you are not so lucky: http://youtube.com/watch?v=WcG0RylJ8yE a broken ligament is not the best experience in the world.

    Knee strain

If it's a problem with your ligaments you usually have pain in the front or the back of your knee. If it happened only once I'm not sure it's the case to think about strengthening. Getting injured after a big stress is not a shame. And obviously I wouldn't start now. Squatting is a good...

    Knee strain

Considering that apparently it happened after this big stress on the knee I would rather consider a stretched ligament. It could also be the meniscus, depending on where the pain is. If it doesn't go away in a few weeks, worst in a couple of months, I would talk to a doctor. In the worst case...

    Knee strain

stop stressing your knee for a couple of weeks. You just make it worse. Give your knee some rest, then start slowly. At least try to run less. Some bandage could help, especially if you have problems during the day. If you can run for 3 miles without problems it's probably nothing, but I...

    Programming Noob

Ah, different issue. I wouldn't say that people tend to bullshit, but I do think that many are simply not good. Being on the other side of the fence I would say that in general it's good to work with someone who knows what you are talking about. But I think this applies more to general...
