It depends on how much heat you're willing to take. With an entry at 1310, any stop thats in the money or at BE is still within the static of what could happen in AH while still having a big down day tomorrow. You'd need your stop at at least 1314 to have it out of the static IMO. However...

Saved by the triple divergence on the 1-min??? I'm confident that if we can stay below 1323 into the close the long term trendline just overhead will take this down tomorrow.

My stop from yesterday short via SDS is right above these highs here... lets see what they wanna do.

Well I see this is a corrective move from 1282 which should be a 3-wave move. So you could easily see on most timeframes on todays chart. 1322.50 was the measured move target aswell as the 78.6% retrace from yesterdays highs (both to the tic). The small scale one I was referring to when I...

The reaction at this level is apparent, now to see if the bears can hold them off here. maybe one more push to test 22.50 or 23 to fill out the 5 wave wedge.

I see a very good entry at 1322.50 H8 for anyone looking to get short this thing.

I love it when things come together. Short via SDS at around ~1329 ES. I would have loved to get the perfect entry at the top zone but I had to leave a resting order early this morning and didn't want to miss the move. Target at ~1250 ES and lowering stop to ~1325 ES... a little bit better...

thanks, I find that if I feel impulsed enough to actually make a "prediction" in the journal theres a good chance it'll happen. Its a mental thing I have to keep in mind. I pretty much agree with your analysis for the next few days also. This is what I'm thinking specifically - We still...

I've been super-busy and haven't been able to trade much recently but I just gotta chime in here after looking at the charts. Shorts may want to tighten stops around here as we look ripe for a 30-40 point rally up to ~1305 within the next few days. If we don't make the U-turn during AH tonight...

    My 401k got closed!

You have to be 21 to open a 401K? I just finished working 6-mo for a company and was 20 the entire time. This was for a mid-cap public company as well, so thats a significant boo-boo by HR if thats true. SIDENOTE: excellent reply Rearden :)

Thanks for the tips JSS! I see what you're saying, that unless the 1-min starts to show weakness, theres no reason for a hard stop thats too close. Its too liable to get hit by the noise as I just saw. Even leaving my stop at BE would have kept me in that trade.

Out with a little slippage on that stop market order, so BE before commissions on the two trades... oh well heh. thanks though :)

how much does goldman charge to clear trades?

Weren't you the guy that created a thread about taking a loan out to trade? If you are a potential customer of GS why not do what normal customers would do and contact them.

Market playing by the rules to the T... coast to coast from the upper consolidation line at 9:30 to the bounce at 3:50 off the lower line to the tick. Within the next two days we should breakout in one direction or the other... most likely downward as this is a continuation pattern. Holding...

Cool. Checking in on the trade and seeing all is going to plan so far. I'm at the school library so I wasn't logged in right away and unfortunately had to see storm drains drivel posted. Still possible we may get up to ~1381 to put in a gartley but thats looking less and less likely. I'll...

Spooz, Your replies never fail to get me laughing :p FWIW I see a continuation pattern ...triangle consolidation upper range being tested here at ~1368-1371... if market wants to turn off this setup this could be the last touch (also happen to be a DT) before we break to the downside pretty...
