    less people on ET?

I think the market is less of a popular gold mine, so fewer people are digging. It's not 1849 anymore, after all, or even 1850. But I'm still here after a year!

I have a random price generator in mine for testing purposes. But uh, it's maybe not so random since it's biased to the long side. See the signature below if you're curious...

    DTNIQ or IQfeed

I've been using IQFeed and Ensign for a few months, primarily for the eminis. It's been very reliable and the ES, NQ and YM data are clean and timely. And it works in Quotetracker as well, which is awesome (thanks again Jerry, your program is great!). They do not, however, have continuous...

    I am angry

Try IQFeed & Quotetracker...together they are very inexpensive and serve as an excellent backup, and IQFeed does EUREX as well. If IQFeed goes out on me (I use IQFeed & Ensign as my primary charting setup now), Quotetracker can use other sources, like IB, to continue the charting so I can manage...

    Trading remote and Health insurance

I use one of regence blue shield's individual plans. I pay around $100/month for a pretty comprehensive $750 deductible PPO plan. You can get $1500 deductible plans for as low as $44 but they don't cover prescription meds, so I upgraded a bit...

    Repeal Of 60/40 Tax Treatment!!!

Ok, someone check my math here. Let's say I am a successful index futures trader right now and I make $100k a year...and once all is said and done, my effective tax rate runs around 25%, using trader tax status and the section 1256 treatment of index futures. They pass the Bush "tax cut"...

traderkay...what about you working for you? I don't mean to give you too much grief, but you are always a bit much on people who use esoteric methods. But it's clear that these things work well for some people (ie marketsurfer)...he.ll even seykota and his trading tribe stuff is a bit off. So...

Multiple monitor support for laptops in XP Pro

So that got me thinking...I went into my display properties, and sure enough, my little old IBM Thinkpad iSeries can do it too under Win2k! How incredibly useful, and I didn't even know I had it! I swear I looked in the docs and they said nothing about this. Only bummer is that it only...

Multiple monitor support for laptops in XP Pro

I just ran across this...apparently XP Pro has something called DualView in it that lets you do multiple monitor setups on a laptop that doesn't natively support multiple monitors, using the VGA port most laptops have. Has anyone with XP Pro tried this? Looks fantastic...

    dollar weakness

It's going to be pretty funny to watch the US walk the tightrope between their public goal of establishing a representative democracy in Iraq and the necessity of preventing a fundamentalist insurgency.
