That´s good. Now that the SEC got interested with the ties between exchanges and HF trading firms, it will soon or late end in some regulation that will , at least, put a brake in this HFT golden age.

nobody adding liquidity trough EDGA??? Common, it does pay 0,0027 if posted to EDGX (more than the EDGX rebate)......

Does the route works fine adding liquidity to EDGX book? or the liq is taken by the other venues (NYSE, NSDQBX) in most cases?? thanks.

I´m starting to scalp (in a HFT way) with the highest volme as possible. That´s why I wanted to know all about my routes (what are the best rebate ones, the aggresive and quick ones, etc), so that way I could chose the optimal strategy to sending my orders. I just started with the hotkeys...

Thanks, I already lurked all exchanges sites for info about their routes and executions. Found a lot of interesting things :). The main problem are the dark pool and floor routes, there is almost nothing about them out there, even in the dp sites :/.

Ok, second week trading without stops. As I predicted, overall trading improved. I watch the positions and now "feel" when things aren´t going as expected, so I just jump out of it with a limit or market order (Like 70-80% of times prices ended against the position just after I closed it)...

for me it looks more like a triangle than a downtrend. Stocks are in a tight pressure zone and there is no much movement. The calm before a storm..

If you take the 20yr sp500 chart, you can see that there is a HnS that could develop here (we´re in the right shoulder). So you forgot to add the 2012 "apocalypse" variable to the poll :D

yep, the fall was really fast, on volume, and I just hadn´t the balls to short it. Gone long in HNT for a 20c profit, and got out thinking that that was all the move and it will head south again, but price just rallied to the previous level. Really strange thing. Nobody can explain this...

A sharp and deep fall with an almost immediate recovery to previous levels at 14pm. Wtf was that? Algos gone wrong or some HFT desk is crying a river for a program error??

Trade what you see, not what you think (c) :D. Shorted it a couple of times more. Tried some bottom picking also, but without the same success. Year 2007-2008 comes to mind whit those wild net sell swings :)
