    Volume Weighted Moving Average

I am interested in investigating use of Volume Weighted Moving Average (VWMA). I am wondering whether crossover of a fast and slow VWMA will be a better indicator (than just SMA crossover) of how different timeframe traders/investors see value evolving over time. Has anyone looked at this...

    Trading through news

Isn't this the same dilemma as asking yourself (on one of the few occasions when you’ve a trade that’s actually in profit!)...” should I take my profit now, and risk missing an even bigger move in my favour later on? ... or, should I hold out until my profit target is reached, and risk the...

most suitable optimization dedicated hardware spec?

Is optimization a bottleneck in your process? If it is, then the higher cost of "faster" hardware will also be offset by an increase in your "efficiency" to some extent (i.e. you will be able to crunch through more optimizations in a shorter time, and get more good systems into the market...

On the equity curve, the gradient has turned flat for the last 2 or 3 time periods (not sure what the shown time periods are ... "M/F/N/A"?). Why do you think this is?

    Things that identify a bubble/Top

A XXXX (and its competitors YYYY and ZZZZ) blow their whole annual marketing budgets on 30-second commercials during the Super Bowl. B GSCO is shorting XXXX (at the same time as its analysts are recommending it). C One of my automated trading systems gives a "buy" signal.

Coming back into the software game after being out for a four years.

IMO, NinjaTrader should be on your list ... www.ninjatrader.com [unless your instruments are options; I don't think NT handles options]

    Range Bar range guidance

Can anyone offer any rules-of-thumb (or similar words of wisdom) for setting Range Bar range for a given instrument? Are there any rules say like “set range to 2 x ATR(14, 1 min)”, etc ... ? Or something similar? My focus is intraday trades. Thanks, and pardon my ignorance.

Market to be lower by 5-6% this week?

If everyone who is going to sell has already sold, price will need to rise at some point today to find more sellers.

CAN TICK, TICKI, and TRIN BE USED WITH STOCHASTICS?

I haven't done the maths (and anyway, would have to dig out my A-Level probability textbooks to remind myself if I even could) but intuitively I feel this probability should be 99% (not 0.99%)? Now, I'll go and hunt in the attic for my textbooks ...
