    Refco FX account withdrawl frozen!!!

Yes, "they told you". Well this is exactly my point, being part of Refco Group does not make you regulated by itself!!!!!! But people were buying the "we are under the umbrella" and all the other bs that was told them by the reps. I've been saying this for months but nobody was listening...

    Refco FX account withdrawl frozen!!!

Please go to the NFA web site and: http://www.nfa.futures.org/ and check the Forex section I am not arguing that forex is fully regulated. However it's ridiculous to deny all the regulations put in place by NFA/CFTC since the Commodity Futures Modernisation Act of 2000.

    Refco FX account withdrawl frozen!!!

Refco FX was never regulated by NFA or CFTC in the first place. I encourage you to give a call to the NFA and find out the status (or rather lack thereof) of Refco FX Associates.

    Refco FX account withdrawl frozen!!!

Chood, this is simply not true. Just because Refco FX were not registered (their exuse to clients was that "we are under the umbrella of Refco Group blah, blah") doesnt mean that other companies aren't registered or arent following the rules.

    Refco FX account withdrawl frozen!!!

It's ridiculous that you are "allowed" to trade but not withdraw the funds.. I hope people are calling CFTC right now.

    The next refco?

Good news for Refco FX account holders.

Of course, because u see when Refco was OK FXCM and ACM were "backed by the largest blah-blah" "the full strenth", "strategic partnership" (FXCM web site), "better than any account protection" (ACM web site). And now, "who is Refco" oh that minority shareholder? oh we are completely separate...

    The next refco?

EXCELLENT post, and a very timely question. "could we see it coming"? Unfortunately most people still think it is some sort of accident, "bad luck", CEO conspiracy... well if you care to look into the history of the company u will not find to too surprising, just check the number and the nature...

    Refco Account Security

if you are referring to FDIC-type insurance, it protects against the bankruptcy of the bank, not of the FCM. If the FCM goes bankrupt you will be standing in line with the other creditors and there is no guarantee to the amount you can recover.

    Refco Account Security

I have issues with any firm that is not doing business ethically. There are plenty of good firms out there, why not go with them? Btw a simple search on ET also reveals that you must be obviously affiliated with them

    Refco Account Security

Without trust and confidence their balance sheet is NOTHING. Apparently you have no problem trusting a company that has been cooking the books for YEARS, whose management has probably defrauded and ripped-off investors for hundreds of millions on an IPO (hence countless class action law suits...

Refco Customers are starting to pull out: http://yahoo.reuters.com/financeQuoteCompanyNewsArticle.jhtml?duid=mtfh90405_2005-10-12_18-46-31_n12525374_newsml Now wait till the heads at CFTC and NFA start to roll... they've allowed this thing to go on for years in front of their eyes

    Bank wich guarantees "stop-loss" @ a level?

i dont think they will uphold it if their back is really against the wall... a price guarantee means a guarantee of infinite liquidity at a given price... which is absurd.

    refco's making news!

Well, Refco has had a dubious reputation for years now... if the firm does go down i feel bad for the employees and the small shareholders, but NOT for the crooked management and their buddies at FXCM and ACM. " I have enough cash to get away with anything" mentality works only up to a point...

    Bank wich guarantees "stop-loss" @ a level?

Noone can and noone will "guarantee" prices on stop orders in this market as well as any other market. Here is for example what the SEC says about this: "once your stop price is reached, your stop order becomes a market order and the price you receive may be much different from the stop...

Which FX broker? An illustrated answer.

to trade the interbank you need at least to be a bank yourself... :) with regards to the idea that many people seem to have that dealing directly with a bank market-maker instead of a retail one they would somehow get better treatment... well, this is just a total illusion. FX is a...

    How Bout InterbankFX vs Oanda

:D :D :D Maybe it's time for you to get over your First exwife? Btw, how many exwives have you got? just curious. I have nothing personal against Interbank FX, and I have no desire to promote any other firm. People should switch on their brains more often, but I guess this is too much to ask.

    How Bout InterbankFX vs Oanda

I am not skeptical... I just know smth about this market and I can't stand lies. For example, from the link you provided: "Our state of the art trading platform is what sets our company apart from the rest of the market. " Well, the platform is not "theirs" by any means, the platform...
