Anyone interested in a telegram/discord for crypto traders ?

Yea maybe it is not a good idea after all, when you are trading its best to focus on trading.

Anyone interested in a telegram/discord for crypto traders ?

Yeah, personally I am not into that low cap stuff (anymore). If you can get good setups on high marketcap coins, then the result is the same ...... but the sleep is better. :D

Anyone interested in a telegram/discord for crypto traders ?

Hmm I would think it is the opposite, when BTC is going to pump then the money will flow from the altcoins to the bitcoin.

Anyone interested in a telegram/discord for crypto traders ?

With the (cypto) markets having all this volatility right now it would be a good idea to have multiple eyes on the market and maybe share trading ideas ? Best H

If markets were random why then does volatiliy spike at certains of the day (illustration inside)

Well I think it depends how you structure your trade. If you take on the smallest possible unit; and have the smallest possible SL/PT, it should not be far off 50/50.

If markets were random why then does volatiliy spike at certains of the day (illustration inside)

Price is random because it exist of tiny tiny micro decisions on a micro level timeframe ( possibly infinite) and each one of the microdecisions has a slighty better than 50/50 chance of happening. If you add those all up, you cannot know what is going to happen, the longer your prediction...

Then that is something that is NOT random. ( source: http://oanda.autochartist.com/aclite/ACLite.jsp?locale=en_GB&broker=232&v=2.8.15&sid=C8B76F40DF4B6CF081DFC64CB91C8C22#PowerStatsPlace:powerstats )

Daytraders, Who Likes Their Stops So Tight They Squeak ?

It depends if I have my stop far I just trade less size. And then either double down in the opposite direction or adding to my short at higher prices.

Daytraders, Who Likes Their Stops So Tight They Squeak ?

Selectively, each trade has their own risk/reward profile. Sometimes I am waiting for the downside BO to fail and then go with the countertrend traders and the trend traders that are now exiting their positions like in your example; both sides are longing so a tight stop below the low of the...

Trying to get that funded account

I think I've nudged the target amount at the peak, or atleast very very very close (was long 2 contracts with 23 points profit = 23 * 100 = 2300 + 157.000 = 159300), however I've broken the rule which encompasses trading within a certain time limit. So I have to start over again. I feel this is...

    Backtesting is useless

Well personally i'd never say that I know everything and I assumed most people would think this. It seems that I have learned that there ARE really smart people who know it ALL and yet visit ET :D:D:D ..... ============================= Anyway, I am asking these questions because I'd like to...

    Backtesting is useless

Another question I want to ask my backtesting ET friends; when is a data sample large enough ? 1 year, 2 years, 20 years ? What is the cutoff point ? Does this cut off point vary among instruments ? Why ?

    Backtesting is useless

If you want to backtest when to place an order, you also have to backtest when NOT to place an order ======>>>> infinite backtests. Nothing is impossible I guess....... :D:D:D Ask yourself if one is able to figure out the above; would he be smart enough to NOT waste his time on ET ? I think so. H

    Backtesting is useless

It seems we have ALOT of profitable traders here on ET, who would’ve thought after all :D:D. All the proponents of backtesting must be profitable, how else would they know right from wrong ???

    Backtesting is useless

I think it is very difficult to write good backtests. Let's take backtesting chart structures for example: You need to be forward thinking in different future scenario's simultaneously and assign probabilities to them in real time based on reference and adjust bet sizing accordingly, in a...

Trying to get that funded account

only 500$ left for passing the target, what happened ? It was my goal to get to that 9k target this week. Too bad it didnt happen. Closed shop yesterday after booking the profits (bad idea, should have banked on the volatility while it was there), tried to catch any upmove today to just get...
