I don't think that people inn Switzerland are necessarily underpaid, but that the lowest income is still high, not comparable to the US. and yes, US is boring too...I've been here for 5 years, and you people are not very entertaining...ahhah....well, more time for me to focus on the job :)

I hope not Switzerland, there would be no safe place to keep our money. I lived there for 4 years, and most of the banks are very very conservative. very hard to get any loan, most of the people rent despite very high wages. I would be surprised if this country fails.

look into Alexandria, VA (next to DC), the area next to the Dept. of Defense and the US Patent Office, they are still hiring about 1000 people a year for the next few years despite the recession. It's very hard to find a decent place to rent here....

I'm from Washington DC area and I see the same thing happening here....many people who are not qualifying for the conventional loans are taking out the FHA loans instead, thinking they can walk away when prices go down further (or due job loss), their risk is only 3%..plus pretty much anybody...

damn, you just killed my confidence! I thought my 50% over the last 3 months or so was something to be proud of in this market (and I trade a bit smaller account than yours and don't use crappy ameritrade :) ) wow, well done...really, really impressive....now I don't feel like trading...

massive inflation? where?...what besides oil went up more than 50%-100% a year? that would be massive inflation... I lived through hyperinflation in Poland some 20 years ago...inflation reached 580% in 1990 alone...we're not even close

about 2-3 weeks ago, I wanted to take out some money of my wachovia account (this was a few days before the whole mess), it wasn't much: 35k, and I was offered a check...no cash. there was a guy standing next to me, and he was there for the same reason...

yes, there are positive signals out there...but too many traders are aware of them...I thought today we will get a nice short squeeze...and I was wrong, had to short again to make some profit. I'm all cash now, and have no idea what's coming next....
