You're assuming it's linear from the start. What would actually happen is you'd start with a 'normal' account then for every bit you made off the profits you'd add contracts. So, actually, near the end, you'd be trading 400+ contracts (using all your profits built up) as your were closing in...

Damn.... I was short YM at the PERFECT pullback to the 50SMA on the 15min chart. Two entries at 160 and 164. But I wussed out and bailed for a scratch at 162..... No good reason to do so, but I did. It then ran for 35 points or so in my favor. Dammit...

Or if you're like me and have no floppy drive, make sure the CD/DVD player is set to boot (pressing the space bar when prompted) before the HDD does. Otherwise, the BIOS will attempt to start the HDD first and will never get to the Acronis CD.

I am on NT with PATS (Man Financial) as my broker. Other than the quotes going away from the ECBOT, I have had no problems. I've rebooted and restarted NT a few times today and it has always returned and been available. Perhaps it was a coincidence.

Any one piece of technology isn't perfect, of course. But all backups to the 'main' piece of technology? When your entire electronic business is technology based, how does a company like the ECBOT not have tons of backups to prevent the stoppage of all electronic business? Seriously, how...

I've got to say - HOW does an entire exchange just stop working? I mean, that's all they do on the ECBOT is move data. And what exactly happens short of a terrorist attack on every piece of (hopefully collocated) infastructure to cause an entire market to stop trading? Seriously, aren't there...

Correction. The Data Manager goes green but no charts. Close, wait and reopen Esignal. Data Manager now is staying red. Still no connectivity

After doing this, the Data Manager goes green as usual, but the charts all stay stuck on 'Trying' in the data window.
