Economic impact of possible attack on Iran

This a typical arrogantly condescending response of a liberal. No wonder you loose all the time.

Economic impact of possible attack on Iran

No need to regorgitate here all the nonsense you heard at the last gathering of your marxist circle. This is a capitalist board for people who trade on the capitalist markets.

Economic impact of possible attack on Iran

First we hade CBS Rathergate. Now we have CNN NewYorkerGate. Liberals are a bunch of sorry losers. They keep grabbing for straws that sink them.

    housing crash

One bedroom apartments in a middle class New York City neighborhood go for 350k+. I can't afford it, neither can many others. I just don't see prices going any higher than that even if interest rates stayed flat. Correction seems not only imminent but logical.

    Some investment advice?

I know you can open a savings Citibank account in Russia at 5% APY, but in addition if Russian Ruble will rise against the dollar you can make extra few points on the exchange rate. The current estimates RR/USD will rise 4% by the end of the year due to high oil prices and booming Russian...

    Tight Ranges

Common man, even Al Jazeera and CNN dont report thousands of "Iraqi", hundreds. Iraqis, or fedayin and foreign fighters? I was not referring to an individual's political agenda and view of the world, but rather about the wall street perception of the market moving dynamics.

    Tight Ranges

Not only Mondays. Every day almost for the past year. This is due to low volatility that is due to everyone sitting on sidelens, and no major market moving mood existing. Because the war on Iraq is out of the picture, the dot com hysteria is gone and we are frankly living in very boring time...

    Eur/usd

An unforseen event may drive it to that level. That explains why you dont see it. If you did, you would be a trillionaire by now. :p

    VIX Futures

We are running out of volatile things to trade. It seems like a product is good for some time, and then its volatily goes to 0.

    is the dollar rally over?

I am very much in favor of strong dollar and high interest rates. And here is why: Strong dollar=cheaper vacation in Europe; High interest rates=better cash inflow on my free cash. Go dollar go, all the way below parity level!

    Jobless Overstatement

ShoeShine, I have been looking for a different job for a very long time now. There are hardly any jobs. Example: 1999/2000 when I put my resume on Hotjobs I it was viewed by employers 300 times within 2 weeks and about 25 of them contacted me. NOW, my resume was sitting on Hotjobs for the last...

    GBP vs. USD

But why did it start happenning in the last few weeks? US interest rates have been stable and low for a long time now.

    GBP vs. USD

In the last few weeks the British Pound has been strengthening against the Dollar much faster then other currencies. Does anyone have an idea why that is so?

The rapid decline of the US dollar

Remember the US economy is 90% internally oriented. So the fall of the dollar may not have a significant impact on US GDP as it would for any other country. So it is natural to have weak currency and rising market here in US. Look at charts of 1999. Besides energy makes up only 2% of US GDP, so...

    Hang Seng

I traded HSI a few months ago. It is absolutely unpredictable and can move 50 -70 points with absolutely no big news. Also, I dont understand well the dynamics and psychology of Hong Kong market and economics to feel the HSI. It is however one of the few more volatile contracts at the present left.

    Forex Rolloever

What would happen with forex rollover on a day like today. I mean if I shorted EURUSD on Friday night at 1.23 and my broker would have closed that position at fridays close of 1.2275 and reopened it today at the open price of 1.2200 I would have missed on $750. Any experience with that?
