    Tradecast

I checked their website out but didn't find any info about the FEEs. How much do you pay for the RTQ data feed? Is this 9.95 for all kind of orders(limit-market)? What about options? Could you comment on this? thanks

    PCQuote-Hyperfeed experience

Currently I have a ISDN64kbps Internet connection. Do you think it is sufficient for the Hyperfeed/PcQuote feed? RAM or other PC specifications pause no limit or conflict. I just would like to know about the ISDN64 connection. Thanks

Are IB, datek e-mail confirmations secure?

sends confirmations with all your trade details and this must be stopped. I contacted once with this problem and they said it is an automated e-mail and there is nothing to be done about it. I believe if we ask them to modify their e-mail confirmations or STOP them altogether there might...

Are IB, datek e-mail confirmations secure?

I believe people are worried about unencrypted e-mail confirmations/statements. I wonder why nobody has asked trading companies to use encryption or find a way to protect customers sensitive data on the web. The best would be to keep all confirmations/statements in their secure servers...

Are IB, datek e-mail confirmations secure?

Many of you trade with IB and Datek. Both of them use your e-mail address to send trade confirmations, while IB sends monthly statements too. The big question is: Are those e-mails safe? In my opinion any e-mail-server can be intercepted. Web-based mail servers such as Hotmail.com...

    IB charging exchange fees

def is right. you don't pay the 10 dollars if your commissions are more than 30 each month.

    IB charging exchange fees

I agree, IB should offer RTQs as an option. Most of the people use IB for execution only (low fees and fast executions). Personally I DON'T like IBs RTQ feed, it is not tick-by-tick. You can have a superb tick-by-tick feed elsewhere. So IB better distinguishes the RTQ feed from execution...

Any brokers using quote/recv order servers located in West Coast?

Thanks Turok, I found that the max acceptable round trip time for trading is 250ms. Of course if you chase liquidity you probably need your 60ms. By the way what connection(Mbps) your friend in Denver has?

    Is IB sotware WindowsXP compatible?

As far as I know IB software needs a couple of Java plug-ins to run. This afternoon I had an upgrade WindowsXP test run in my PC. Its purpose was to find out which elements of my system-software and hardware-are windowsXP compatible and which not. The results indicated that Java Plug-ins...

Is IB Order Cancel really slow?

I read some posts from other persons and they talk about problems they have/had with their brokers/trading firms. I don't understand why my question does not comply with the rules here. I just wanted to know the opinion of other IB users about the Cancel-order process. They can confirm...

Is IB Order Cancel really slow?

A friend of mine trades with InteractiveBrokers.com. She is quite happy with it apart from the Cancel-order process. Yesterday she tried to cancel 3 orders. It took several minutes to get the RED light-Order Cancelled. In one case she waited 11 minutes. All those orders were for very...
