Just curious... if you see price action enter into consolidation where it looks like theres a favorable outcome for a breakout or breakdown... do you look for heavy volume spikes in lower timeframes to help confirm where trader confidence might be heading? I never really payed close attention...

Thats not what i just read. Sounded like a general rant that scalpers are failures that dont know how to trade or are just wannabe's with no idea what they are really doing chasing an illusion. im not dissing you either...or those that dont understand a scalpers approach ;)

I have to second that advice. I just spend 2 years searching for that answer on my own and arrived at the exact same conclusion. Only thing i can add is... cci is another good divergence indicator.

i was curious to get any opinions on what a minimum # of trades you might expect to accuratelly judge the accuracy of a system? Obviouslly more the better but would you expect a small # such as 100 trades adequate or do you think it requires more than that?

are you trading a real account? why not live off that money or save it instead of losing it and papertrade until you figure out that edge?

Sure this has been asked before but do you find that coffee affects your trading in a negative or posative way? i notice when i have a strong cup of coffee while trading i seem more impatient and not as level headed....seems i make more mistakes.... curious if anyone has had a similar experience?

I agree. I had a similar problem, I way overanalyzed everything and realized theres just a point where you have to accept that ES is simply not going to follow any rules. We have to set ours and stick to them. I know this isn't answering your question and I hope I don't sound patronizing...

I'm playing around with a real time simulator scalping ES. It seems to give random fill speeds, depending on order size etc... I have been trading 10 to 20 lot market orders and get filled (simulated) within 10 seconds, usually only a few. I'm curious to know how accurate this is compared...
