Have you guys ever seen the video of the guy who puts his head in the crocodile's mouth. The crocodile will not snap its jaws shut unless something touches its tongue. The guy had done this dozens of times to the delight of the crowd. Unfortunately the one day it was very hot and the guy was...
...................Also the GOLD sell off was hedge funds getting cash for margin calls on stocks.........
Who told you this? Did you call up all the hedge funds in Greenwich?
Engage in a little independent thought. This "line" was repeated over and over again during the week. It's...
Best advice of all. I don't think it ever hurts to sit on the side lines and wait it out. Stepping back and removing the emotions of having something on the line always improves perspective. It's not a bad thing to admit you don't have a good feel for what's happening. Let the smarter people...
I'm probably alone in this view, but I think the markets are fearful of credible central bank policy (yeah, crazy, I know). When I look at gold, it was hit quite hard this week. I heard the same story all week that traders were selling gold to raise money to fend off margin calls. Everyone...
I think people tend to forget how long a trend will persist for. Given the size of the overhang in the market (supply of houses), it appears it will take many more years for this market to 'clear'. Throw in the fact that the demand side is now impacted by lenders reducing available credit, and...
Most of you won't be familar with this stock but it's one of Canada's oldest steel makers. This week, the stock shot up from $38 to $58 on takeover rumours. The TSX halted the stock and requested an update from the company. The company confirmed they were in talks BUT indicated the potential...
Hats off to the dip buyers. This morning I thought for sure we would see some selling with conviction. I had put on some index shorts yesterday (no, not calling a top, just a trade) and when I read HSBC's news this morning, it sure felt like we could get some downside momentum. I rubbed my...
Are there any people out there trading a program or system earning 100% to 200% per year? If so, I will forward you a postage paid return envelope so that you may send me your system. Better yet, just send me your money since I do not like to work.
Many thanks in advance.
Sorry to hear you got squeezed out. It always seems that as soon as the pain gets to be too much and you exit, the market turns and vindicates your original position. As Keynes eloquently pointed out, "markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent". I'm a big fan of solvency...
There is nothing with trading penny stocks as long as you understand the risk and problems associated with them.
If you are mathematically inclined, you can use option theory to 'price' penny stocks. Treat the market capitalization of the company as the option premium.
Just some food...
You sound angry. I must have struck a nerve. Here, I'll post it again, give it some thought.

"You were absolutely right, you've beeeen right allllllll aloooong, you're absolutely right, and I was wrong". Do do do dee da.
Always liked that song. You could make that you're theme song.
What sold off 18 bucks??? Oh yeah, that's right, it's your world.
It doesn't really matter to Blue. In a previous thread he said he was holding QQQQ puts (when the QQQQs were at $43, now $45) and everyone was stupid. You see, in Blue's world, nothing is what it seems. In Blue's world, time decay does not exist. In fact, time decay is reversed in Blue's...

Your order wasn't huge, it was super giganto. Do the exchange's computers even handle that large of a number?
Anyone know who are the big components suppliers for Apple?
What i'm looking for are the companies who will be providing the parts for Apple's new iPhone. I think this product will kick off a new sales cycle for any of these companies with a substantial line of business.
TIA.
qll, aren't you the guy who 'sells' research to hedge funds who then "tip you off" when they are about to buy in? Wouldn't your hedge fund friends be able to provide you with this capital since they trust you so much?
Exactly how much capital are you looking for? From the posting below, it...
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.........
Yes, I'm sure that's right. It's your world, you can make anything happen in your little world.
Keep posting, you're hilarious.
Here we go again...conspiracy stories. Yes, you're absolutely right. You're right about everything....
Oh wait a minute, AAPL is at 85 today. Hmmm, didn't you say short at 79 and cover at 75. Gee, you must have lost a bundle.
But then again, in your fictional trading world, a loss is...
