    china raises interest rates

You must have FAILED your Econ class in college. Bernanke has exported inflation to the Chinese and is forcing them to act on the value of their currency. Pure stroke of genius, in my opinion. But you wouldn't even begin to understand that. :p

I am willing to pay 150 bucks (valid for 6 months) to get High Class ET membership.

That's interesting. I've been a member of ET since 2003 and there has ALWAYS been a P&R forum. Like I mentioned in a previous post, it really doesn't matter where people post on ET anymore... The ship that was filled with VETERAN traders sailed away a long, long, time ago. It's never...

True. The point is... is that there WAS a time when this website was a great place that attracted tons of active day-traders and remote traders, alike. There was some really good posters here, with posts that ADDED VALUE. Unfortunately, that shipped sailed a long long time ago.

If your goal is to have a message board filled with posts that are just a notch or two above that of a Yahoo Finance message board, then yes you are correct.

What service you use to connect to the Internet?

I have the COMCAST "Blast" Service of up to 25 Mbps for $53.95 per month. It's been pretty reliable and fast.

I suggested this exact same model to Baron years ago . . . but he is not open to it at all. He just doesn't care. If he really wanted to make this an ELITE website, he'd START by getting rid of the "Politics & Religion" forum, but he won't do it. It's a shame, but Baron just doesn't care.

2012 Republicans: Who can defeat Obama/Who will you vote for?

    I vote Palin. She's awesome! :D

ThinkOrSwim - Real account just as slow as Demo?

Yeah, it really looks like ToS is going the way of "retail". I have actually switched over to Schwab's Street Smart Pro Platform given that the data-feed infrastructure is all Schwab's and not subbed out to a third party data provider like Interactive Data. In fact, the guy that handled...

    IQ feed should buy QT

I have enjoyed using QT connected to DTN's "IQ-Feed". The only problem is that the IQ-Feed only sends out Level-One quotes, and not Level-II "Open Book" or "Total View" DTN has told me that they "might" have something this year for "Total View" Level-II, but it would only be featured on...

New Day Trader looking for best Platform...

Agreed 100% Schwab's Street Smart Pro platform is FREE (with a minimual amount of quarterly trading) and offers direct-access order routing. The charts are good, and the platform is very stable. In fact, SSPro even held up well during the "Flash Crash". Schwab also uses it own...

Santelli Rips Leisman Over Employment Data

This is too funny! The paper-trading MORON that has over 12,000 posts on ET and who has been a PERMA-BEAR since 800 SPX is getting all excited over a couple of talking heads on CNBC. The only pathetic joke here is you my friend. You are completely worthless. Now get back to your school...

Santelli Rips Leisman Over Employment Data

And the TRUTH is the FACT that the MANUFACTURING SECTOR saw +49,000 increase in jobs - - - the highest since August 1998. Given Obama's 100% write-off tax break for businesses purchasing new investment and equipment this year, this number is only going to get better.

What service you use to connect to the Internet?

Don't forget, upload and download speed tests are all fine and dandy, but it is most helpful to do a "trace-route" to your broker's server address in order to see how much latency you are dealing with. Simply go into the DOS prompt of your computer ( usually found under "Accessories" in...

    Being a Perma bear sucks

Very true. Most "newbies" make the mistake that the stock market should have a high correlation with the current macro-economic backdrop. This couldn't be farther than the truth, especially during a low interest rate environment and a liquidity driven market. Trade what you SEE. Not what...

    S&P Closes Above 1000

    The PERMA-BEARS like S2007S and the other ET clowns like "Dr. Jerk-Off" don't even trade . . . SPX 1300. :p

    Being a Perma bear sucks

SPX now at 1300. Daneric and all of the other PERMA-BEAR blogging crowd have been WRONG for another 16 months. Kenny's blog got shut down and the idiots on "Trading to Win (Lose)" are starting to eat each other in order to survive, just like the Donner Party. :D

We Knew It Was Only A Matter of Time...

Lucrum posted 32 times yesterday. He's posted another 10 times today and it isn't even lunch time yet. :D And yet, he still never seems to answer the question. He just LIVES on ET because his life is so pathetic. Doesn't get out much. Ever notice that? :p

    US Economy is BOOMING!

We are not there yet. Besides, Bernanke has been exporting inflation over to China. This will force them to finally re-value their currency, and it will slow their economy, thus reigning in demand for commodities.

    US Economy is BOOMING!

Tax rates are dropping. The payroll tax dropped 2% from 6.2 to 4.2 Businesses can now obtain 100% Write-Off for investment this year. Obama wants to lower the Corporate Tax rate. 2011 will see even stronger GDP growth, and the deficit will begin to contract due to the higher growth...

    Michelle Bachmann's 'Tea Party' response

Like I said before, it was like watching Colonel Sanders making a speech, without the Colonel once talking about chicken. Bizarre.
