I think 20K per contract is more sane. Slow and easy wins the race. Remember the NQ is more volatile normally, so that usually offsets the $20 vs. $50 debate.

Looks like 878 (loosely) has proven to be support so far. It will be interesting if the LOD gets taken out if we sell off into the 864 area.

Thanks. On your spreadsheet, it appears 873 is highly represented on the weekly summary. Would this be viewed as support, or do you use weekly info that way?

So is 878 an old boundry from 10/15 that you would go long above and short below on the ES? I've been watching the markets reaction to this level and it seems to be a point of support so far.

For more than a month the 1st 30 minutes of trading has rarely intersected with the prior days' close. It sucks, especially if you hold overnight (which I don't anymore) because the risk is amplified, and it takes away the profit potential of the days' follow through since few of these gaps...

Can you give an idea of how you enter the info by hand into Excel? Do you use the volume of the 30 minute bar and the closing price, or the average for the bar?? I notice the pivot point is always very close to your ulv. Do you use pivot calculations, or purely MP. Fascinating stuff...

You're in a tough situation. You can't daytrade 50 shares with a small account, but you can daytrade 500 shares. That's what you get with a bunch of fat blue bloods making the rules. :confused:

Not to crash the Tradestation party, but also take a look at www.wealth-lab.com . They have a very powerful language for testing, and also have real-time capabilities. It needs a time investment as well to learn, but all good things take time.

Luckily don't have a plan for large gaps that don't fill, so no trades, just watching the action and imagining how much I would've lost on those whipsaws the last hour. I remember the same thing happening on the NQ 4-5 months ago. If you flip positions it gets expensive.

I can't believe anybody is trading this market. It's schizo today.
