Watch price. What did it do on that bar? It opened, then headed lower than the previous bar, then stopped and headed higher. Higher than it's open. Did we just see 'change'. [B] What is continuation in a downtrend? Price heading lower? If price stops heading lower is that not change...

Well you could say the IBGS bar was pt1 and pt2 with the BO bar a pt3 on inc blk vol - this is refered to as a 'chubby' tape. So what happened on the pt3 bar in this chubby tape? Did it VE? What comes next after a VE? [B] Both, I am sure you have seen competing channels where ONE bar...

Was this the same sequence? We had inc blk for a RTL BO - OK, now what must come next? Did we get it? What would we need to see to eliminate a new pt3 down? Here is the confirmation screenshot, eliminating a new pt3 up: <img...

Tell you the truth, I did not even look at the calendar until now! I just did what the market told me to do. But when I do look: http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/ecalendar/index.html or the one Spydertrader posted:http://www.dailyfx.com/calendar/

I take note of these 'chubby' tapes and anticipate a 'better looking' pt3 down. Did this happen later? :D But look at bar 6 - it has inc red volume. This is the bar before the econ report bar. The inc red vol just told you to eliminate one possible sequence - the new pt3 up.

Excellent question, Ferdinand! At any given time there are four possibilities. What are they? 1) You gave one answer in this post 2) cnms2 has another 3) ? 4) ? Remember, this is a 'binary' process. If it is not yes, then it is no, etc. There are no ambiguities, no...

A few of us got together with Spydertrader today at the Trader’s Expo. I can’t thank him enough for his generosity. I believe we all came to the same conclusion that what Spydertrader laid out over a year ago, was the correct course of action, yet how many of us decided along the way...

Actually, I find the moving averages added to your posted 'tick' chart to be distracting. Would you please enlighten us all on their practicality for making money? As for coloring bars one way or another, most software 'defaults' to close vs open. Did the programers of said software...

Classic sign that the channels are not drawn correctly. The market is very accommodating in it's ability to 'confirm' what 'we' have chosen to draw. It amazes me everyday to see the simple geometry of the market. Simple parallel lines drawn at various slopes is all that is required to 'see'...

I disagree. Try setting both the YM and ES to 'CME ES, MID - Regular Hrs' Been using it this way for a year, had nothing to do with the merger.
