    i broke; i QUIT

how: trading on days i shouldn't be trading, on days you feel very careless, because you want to be somewhere else. and then bet large.

    i broke; i QUIT

buying power, correlated to one's needs and risk profile. commissions, virtually non-existent, i am on a cut. I am specialized in nasdaq. major downfall: more than 3 years ago, i switched to futures to move up on the foodchain and failed. then i went back to nasdaq, but without the drive when i...

Funniest thing ever seen at a prop firm

Some time ago there was a computer which would "switch on" for a short time, once or twice a day. This made our boys a lot of easy money. What's funny about it, our guys would watch videos or play games all day until the computer would switch on and then they would do their thang (everything...

Refco says Java apps are unstable. Are they?

I think the main issue here is windows-based versus server-based. Java shouldn't be inherently more unstable. If an app is java AND server-based, yes, imo this will prolly be more unstable.

    "spread betting"

check out my post in the retail section on person to person stockbetting: Hey, I had this idea: At tradesports you can bet on for instance saddam's removal, in a scale of 0-100. What if you could bet on a stock's closing price for the month (as stated by nbbo), on a scale from 0 cent...

    Thin Nasdaq stocks

I have done it once and a while. you have to make huge winners in order to pay for the losers, as a losing trade is sometimes impossible to get out of. it is definitely easier to read the level 2 on these issues.

    DAX and Euro stocks trading

In some academic circles a plea has been made for facilitated block trades, to actually be a benevolent activity for price discovery and volume. Facilitated block trades make institutions more easily take up certain positions, resulting in more active (finetune) hedging activities on the...

My take on the guy is that he's great working with his mind (statistics etc. i couldn't come up with), but sucks with working with his feelings (fear and greed).

    My method of common sense

"Really ? commen sense is not so common in trading" Well, look at the market. It's not hard to see that prices move in waves. Momentum is greatest in the middle and least in the beginning or end. So common sense would be to start looking for a reversal wave when momentum starts to fade.
