After testing IB, I would rather trade their Micro Currency futures (M6E, M6B, etc) than their spot forex. Commission for Micro Currency futures is USD $1.02 per side per contract. EUR/USD is $2.50 per side independent of lot size. SO Micro futures is better for currency newbies.

You are right. IB has tight spread, but its commission structure makes it unsuitable for small players. Do u have a suggestion of a forex broker with tight spread and do not charge commission?

I just tested IB forex on simulator. Commissions are an outrage. 226.8 to trade USD/JPY per side independent of trade size. I have a feeling this is 266.8 Yen and not 22.68 USD?

80k between 20 students. So it 4k each average. I am still puzzle why they are cashing it and leave nothing in the account for tuition and living expense for the rest of the term.

I googled, found out that they do charge some thousands in upfront training fees. I stay away from any such "employment". They should really had advertised in "education service" or training if they are looking for training fees.
